Good food in a small package.

This was a small quaint little cafe with a surprisingly large selection of menu choices. And even though while were there it seemed like only one person was present (save perhaps another in the kitchen), we were well taken care of. The food was good as well.

We've been going to Joe & Aggie's for you they're a Route 66 tradition. Great food, both American and Mexican and they have loads of Route 66 memorabilia, plus a small variety of Route 66 souvenirs and Native American jewelry and other trinkets for sale. Very personable place to eat. We had dinner this time around, enchiladas all around and... More

Back after 23 years, the children of the previous owners now run the place. A Route 66-relic, glad to see it's so well preserved.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way to the Petrified Forest because it was featured in our Road Eats book and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. I had the cheese enchiladas with eggs and beans and green chile sauce and my husband had hue is rancheros with the green chile sauce. In addition to the great... More

This is not a fine dining establishment, it is a classic Route 66 diner and the food is classic Route 66 diner food. Not great, but this is what folks ate along 66, so if you want an authentic experience while traveling the road, then you should stop here. Service is good and the ambiance is great. I stopped recently... More

Decided to have dinner at Joe & Aggie's in Holbrook. Our waiter was very nice and friendly, but he was the only good thing about our dinner. The chips were stale and literally the small pieces left from the bottom of a bag. The salsa was ridiculously hot and spice, and the tacos I ordered came in pre-formed store-bought shells.... More

Stopped for a sandwich and coffee. The cafe is dirty and cluttered. The tables look like they haven't been cleaned for years and the upholstery on the booths was torn and covered with tape. The carpet was scattered with food and needs to ripped out. The bread on the sandwich was very thin and dry. Coffee was not very good.

Even with an excellent waiter, the atmosphere and the food really disappoint. Our chips (chips and salsa) were from two different batches of bagged chips, and tasted a bit stale. The salsa was too spicy. The tacos are made with pre-packaged taco shells--not the fresh Mexican food we were expecting. The place is dirty and cluttered. The juke box was... More
