We dined our first night in Holbrook at Joe and Aggies. Not sure what we were expecting but looking back for the price, it was a good deal. First of all the waitress was very pleasant. You have to take in consideration the price and what you get. For the price I was surprised we got chips with our meals.... More

First off recognize that Holbrook is a tiny outpost existing only to service travelers to petrified forest or long haul folk and a long way from everywhere. We visited upon the trip advisor average and that it is such a historic location. The inside was was likely original but pretty dingy, very low and uncomfortable booths. Jukebox also dead. Ok... This is a historic Rte 66 restaurant that is third generation family owned. They make all there food on sight from scratch, I had the tamales and they were excellent. The owner was very friendly and great to talk to about the history of the area. There is also a lot of memorabilia from the movie Cars, the first gen... More

Great food, friendly local ambiance, a good dose of history make this a great pit stop. Our food was delicious and our waitress friendly and informative. The place has been owned and managed by the same family since 1943 and you can taste the live. Definitely worth a stop!

It was 11 AM when we walked in. Kids ordered stacks of hot cakes (pancakes), parents enjoyed the huevos rancheros and enchiladas. The green and red chile were both equally flavourful and not overly "hot." Everyone agreed: all our food made-to-order was tasty and we decided it would be a great place for any meal at any time when we... More

The cafe celebrates Route 66. The owner has many stories about his family and the history connected to the cafe. The food was good, but spicier than I should eat. The cafe needs some repair to the booths. Some have rips and one I sat in tipped forward almost dumped me out. Probably will try aother restaurant next time.

The hotel we stayed at recommended this place, both staff said it was their favorite place in Holbrook. I had the combo enchiladas plate and husband had another combo plate. Heaping helpings of everything I enjoyed the taco and enchiladas but didn't eat the rice and beans but I usually wouldn't. I think the highlight was the Margaridas, also the... More

One of the best breakfasts we have had on our trip. The guys were part of the inspiration for the movie "CARS". The wigwams down the street were made into the Cone Motel in the movie. We talked a lot, and ate great food.

Second time visit was better than the first. This is a little dive diner with a friendly staff. Our group had the cheese crisp with beef and red chills, the cheese crisp with chicken and green chilis and the Navajo Tacos. The Grand Canyon Black Iron IPA was fantastic. The guy up front showed me where the cafe's free stickers... More
