Took a chance. Turned out great!

I took a chance on this restaurant after driving all the main streets of this small town. It was one of the few having cars in the parking lot which can be a good sign. The exterior was completely surrounded by giant rainbow petrified logs found so abundantly in this area. Inside was decorated... read more

We had driven 250 miles along I-40 and were hungry! Stopped at Holbrook, but were disappointed at all the dreary fast food choices. Happened to notice Mr. Maestas; luckily there were many cars parked outside or we would not have stopped. This establishment has been around at least 30 years, and it looks "vintage" to put it nicely. The inside... More

Sign out front said it was the best in town. To me that means there were no other restaurants in town. First Strike: ordered "open-face" beef sandwich. They were out of beef. Second Strike: ordered the "meat loaf open-face sandwich". It was more like a thin hamburger and did not go with an "open-face" sandwich. It was burned (over-cooked). Tasted... More

I think the food was fresh and very good. I would definitely come back when im on a road trip. The only problem is that the service is very slow.

Great Navajo Taco, excellent Fry Bread- made with Blue Bird flour, if course. Great decor & service, clean throughout. Will make this our Holbrook eating stop!

Taste, service, local and not a chain. Red salsa with the chips was especially outstanding. Not expensive. Didn't care for the way the rice was done however.

Stopped here for breakfast and was not disappointed at all. The restaurant was quiet and service was excellent. Coffee was very flavorful; had ham and eggs with hash browns - great value and classic flavors. The restaurant is filled with Hollywood memorabilia, western and native American items, bikes, signs and tools on the walls and ceilings. If you want a... More

Thought this would have good Mexican food. It did! But the service was totally indifferent, impersonal and unprofessional. Countless examples made my wife and I feel very uncomfortable which disrupted an otherwise nice meal. Atmosphere is a bit kooky and very "down home," but the sex lotion and condom sale items in the men's room gave you the feel of... More

I don't know if we were just there on a bad day or what but it was very, very bad. We stopped here because the reviews made it sound like a place not to be missed. The service was perfect, the employees were very pleasant & the price was cheap. The food left a lot to be desired. I had... More

We are passing through on our way from Estes Park to the Grand Canyon. We have felt quite disillusioned with the food we have had lately but boy was it a fab surprise going to Mr Maestas. We had 2 glasses of lovely red wine and shared the combination plate and our bill came to just over $17. Together with... More
