On our way to Petrified Forest National Park, AZ, we needed gas so we stopped at this gas station and to our surprise inside we discovered a kind of old fashion route 66 diner. Great hamburgers and incredible cheese puffs. These are unique experiences at Holbrook, AZ. The convenience store sells for $1 each, multicolored rocks from the Petrified Forest,... More

The ice cream was great; cold and refreshing. The root beer was also excellent especially in an ice cream float. Service was friendly and quick. Location was centrally located in downtown and easy to find.

I loved the root beer floats that they had, and I thought it was really cool how you could get refills of the root beer and make it yourself. The cashier was somewhat rude though, which knocked down my rating to average. The root beer floats were super cheap and a great deal if you are just wanting a quick... More

Place has good fast food, amazing root beer floats. Service is okay. It sucked though that they didn't have their own credit card machine we had to take or receipt over to the fuel desk and get all paid up. Atmosphere was cool had a bunch of old stuff.

The burgers were great. The employees were way beyond great. The cleanliness was a bit rough though and the seating area was quite warm but it was almost 100 outside. Timing of our visit was probably to blame not the staff.

The place is badly managed. Two women to handle all the food and cash plus the drive thru. Roasting hot eating area with flies. Awful, awful.

This restaurant is actually inside an old gas station on the corner of Hopi Drive and Navajo Blvd. on old Route 66 in Holbrook, Arizona. The gas pumps still have rotating numbers, no kidding. They have a few Route 66 souvenirs too. I have actually been to this A&W three times in the last two months. I wasn't too impressed... More
