Excellent Mexican food

Salsa that came with the chips was homemade and the best I have ever had! My husband had a hamburger that was very good, looked like a half pound of meat. I had the combo which was excellent.

We were fascinated by the Route 66 atmosphere in Holbrook. Romo's is right on the "Mother Road". I doubt it's been upgraded much from the Route's heyday but that's part of the charm. The food was really good - probably more than us oldies can hold but it was good so we kept eating. I'd recommend Romo's.

Being from New Mexico, we are used to New Mexican cuisine, so we're a little cautious to try any Mexican food outside our comfort zone. However, their food was very good. My hubby had the enchiladas and I had 1/2 a Navajo taco. Very good food and great service!! Would definitely try again. And 1/2 a Navajo taco was too... More

To tired to look up anything on Trip Advisor. Drove down the strip and looked at where there was a crowd. 1/2 block off the strip was where we found a crowd. Old and tired decor, almost every table full, we took a chance. The party thought the food was really good. In fact one thought the enchilada was the... More

Good food and good prices on Route 66. Great way to end a long exhausting day. Friendly and helpful staff.

Not fancy but great food especially the enchiladas. I've eaten here many times and never had a bad meal! Reasonable prices, nice staff. If your in Holbrook during the summer make sure you do not miss the Native American dance in front of the Court house. I think it starts about six but not sure. Just ask any local they... More

Two recommendations to eat here, one from Tripadvisor reviewers and one from the motel where we were staying. Romo's has been around for a while and it shows, but the staff are really friendly and engaging and the food is amazing. On a Wednesday night there was a steady flow of customers coming and going, locals and travelers alike. Our... More

What an awesome place to stop for a meal, and oh so reasonably priced. Service was friendly, quick and great. (certainly worth tipping)

In operation for more than forty years this old restaurant shows its age. Still, the service was professional and friendly, the food was good, prices reasonable, and there is something special about hanging out with the locals for lunch.

Fairly typical Mexican food at a reasonable price. Very nice staff and lots of local color. Well run and clean.
