A really fine meal

Had dinner here last week. It is open a bit later than some of the other local places. All three of us live in New Mexico and can be Mexican food "snobs" but Romo's was not a disappointment. The green chile was tasty, but mild. Portions were adequate. They do have beer and wine. Service was good.

We were spending the night at a wacky bed and breakfast called Heward House and the woman who ran the place recommended this place highly. The town is big on local color and has all the chains, so to find a place with some real authentic feel was great and it was fun watching the locals. Service was great the... More

We passed through Holbrook, AZ as we traveled from Central Illinois to Phoenix, AZ. I had researched places to eat that were locally owned and authentic to the areas we traveled through. Romo’s Café (restaurant) was on our list and it did not disappoint. Our experience there was what we had hoped. The café was bright and clean and gave... More

Very good authentic Mexican food. Reasonable prices. Very popular with the area locals. The staff was very attentive to us during our dining experience.

Service was quick, food was good and hot and there was a Pow Wow across the street that evening to add to the evening. I had nachos that were some of the best I have. My daughter had chicken fajitas, my husband had a chicken chimichanga and my Mom-in-law had a combination platter. All of our food was great and... More

Great food and salsa! I had the combination platter, 2 enchilada's and a taco. The red sauce was spicy and good. The chips and salsa were good too. My husband had the half Navajo taco and it filled him. He said it was excellent and both red and green sauce was good.

I was raised on wonderful, homemade Mexican food, thanks to my babysitter Mrs. Reyes. I still rate tortillas and refried beans by her excellent food. So, imagine my happiness when I ate at Romo's in Holbrook, AZ. One bite of the truly excellent homemade flour tortilla transported me back to childhood. Then I tried a bite of the delicious looking... More

Delicious Mexican food. I am not certain if this is the matter of an issue but my steak burrito would feed 3 hungry people. The wait time is a bit longer since we were told that everything was prepared from scratch.

Small family run restaurant Quick friendly, clean place to dine. Taco shells were freshly made and chicken tacos were the best I've ever had. Great place to dine.
