Good food, don't just drive by!

We drove by, but on second thought, turned around and went in for dinner. Sure we glad we did. It is the type of you place you would drive past, if you didn't know better. We had a good meal and had leftovers to take with us. The service was quick and very friendly. Top that with reasonable... read more

Holbrook will never be a destination for foodies - its tough to find remarkable food in this town or even food that is not Mexican. The nice thing about Wayside is the fact that this is a family owned place and the owners really seem to enjoy the interaction with their customers. Wife had the chili rellenos which she thoroughly... More

Local restaurant with a 40 year, family run history. The niece is now running it and is very friendly. Great Mexican food, very good prices, full plates, American food too. The flan dessert was delicious! The restrooms are small yet very clean. The decor is clean and simple with color that pops. The tin framed mirrors reminded me of the... More

She had some outside seating that we usually look for with the fat beagle, but because it was in the direct sunlight and it was hot, she insisted we bring him inside. That is enough to get my vote, but the food and the leftovers are fabulous! Make time for this little place.

We arrived late in Holbrook where we stayed at Wigwam motel. We have been to the nearest restaurant : Wayside Cafe. As we are not used to Mexican food, we chose a salad which was ok. Only soft drinks. The service was gentle but for sure there must be better place to have dinner in Holbrook.

We went in to Eat here, I got the chicken enchiladas which were okay tasting. But the sides the rice was completely dry and the beans were dry and Nasty also. The only good thing about this place is the salsa... The next day I had to spend my road trip pulling over and throwing up mile after mile. Don't... More

Good food, good service, pleasant hostess/owner. Reasonable prices, and pretty quick service. This is a small, hole-in-the wall type restaurant, which is usually the best kind where the locals eat.

I really wanted some tasty New Mexican after being in the Colorado mountains for a week. I read the reviews but, unfortunately, I didn't have a very good meal. I ordered a combo and the taco was OK and so was the tostada. I judge most restaurant by the quality of the frijoles and this is where the Wayside Cafe... More

This is the friendliest restaurant I've ever been in. The owner chatted with us while we were there. She made us feel like one of her family. The food is great! If you're passing through Holbrook at a meal time, you have to stop here.

Having walked for miles at the Petrified Forest National Park, we were famished and stopped for lunch at the Wayside Inn in Holbrook, AZ. The home-cooked enchiladas and taco salad were delicious. The lady co-owner was so nice and accommodating. Wish they had provided paper towels in the one-holer ladies' room, though.
