We were there at 12:30 pm on Saturday and the place was pretty full. No tables open in the dining room and only two sit down tables and a two high seat round tables open in the bar area. The server came pretty quickly and took our order of chilli fries, grilled chicken salad and onion rings. It took approximately... More

We have been visiting the Red Onion for many years. Their green chile bacon cheeseburger is the BEST! The atmosphere is rustic and you can meet the locals. They've got a good jukebox and a pretty varied menu. A few years back, something changed at the Onion and we stopped going, but on our most recent visit in July of... More

Red onion has great burgers and yummy potato skins. Even the small dinner salad is a meal in itself. Unfortunately a lot of the menu is al a carte, so the $9-$12 burger does not come with Frys or onion rings. Although, an order of frys(not the greatest),rings or skins, is enough to feed the table. Large screen t.v. And... More

We stopped in for lunch and as other posts have explained, unless you know someone who works there, the service is mediocre. There was maybe 3 tables occupied while we were in there and we couldn't get refills on our drinks unless we got the attention of the servers, who were sitting by the bar chit chatting like they were... Stopped in on the way home to Colorado last friday. We had heard about it from various sources and the timing was right for lunch. Ordered the bacon cheese burgers, onion rings and ice tea. The onion rings were very greasy and lacked flavor. The ice tea was weak. But the burgers were one of the best I have ever... More

Stopped for lunch on a day trip thru east AZ. Special that day was pastrami sand which with fries $7.99. Best pastrami I have ever tasted! Served on rye with a bucket of different condiments to dress it with. The pastrami was thin sliced and best of all warm as in just sliced! The fries are home made cut from... More

There aren't all that many places in Heber to eat, but fortunately, many of the ones there have great food. Red Onion is more of a bar type environment but the food and prices make this a sure bet. The overall menu is pretty typical of a bar menu selection. The French drip though is made of thinly sliced layers... More

We've stopped at the Red Onion 4 times when travelling between Albuquerque and Phoenix and have yet to have a bad experience. The burgers are amazing. Great diner style fries as well. My only complaint would be that the large slab of green chile on the burger had no bite whatsoever. The place is kind of a saloon but we've... More

The burgers were very good! The servers were very friendly! But the fries and onion rings were ridiculously greasy! We think the fryer oil is just not hot enough because the breading in the onion rings was just soaked with oil. Check your fryer temp, cooks!

We were excited to try the Red Onion. The burgers on the billboards looked amazing. We stopped in for lunch while passing through town. We were on our way to Payson. It wasn't very busy. It had a saloon feel to it. No one greeted us at the door, but there was a sign that said seat yourself. I also... More
