Nice Mountain Views

The restaurant is more upscale, then others in the area. The food is exceptional. The service wasn't up to par for a restaurant of this caliber. The price was very reasonable. The sweeping views of the golf course and distant mountains was nice.

Lavender is part of a private golf course, and advertises its French chef. Went with a party of 4, ordered the rack of lamb, and shared a salad. My food was good, but two of our party ordered breast of chicken, which were both overdone, and dry. One party had soup, and said it was OK, but not great. They... More

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Lavender's. The service was great as was the dinner. They surprised us with a wonderful personalized desert noting our anniversary. A wonderful experience!

Attached to a Country Club, so the french Chef has lots of common touches. Lunch and brunch are actually reasonably priced. Full on French and $$$$$ for dinner. Service varies and there are some quirks--chef is very fond of fennel--but it is the only fine dining here and it is quite good and the only place I would eat seafood... More

The atmosphere is nice, the food is very good, however, the portions are small and it is pricey. Otherwise, worthy of a visit. JH

Our first time. What initially struck us was how long it took for any wait staff to come to our table. Slow service continued throughout the experience, it was over an hour between being seated and getting our appetizer. We do not like to be rushed - but this was a bit much. When we finally got our food -... More

Food was excellent, the service nicely paced, very reasonable for such authentic French cuisine. I heard there's a great view, but we arrived after dark.

We had a very nice relaxing dinner. Food was awesome. I had the salmon. It was wonderful, the sauce was delicious. But I have to say the shrimp appetizer was the best ever!!!! The deserts were homemade and perfect. Really enjoyed the night! Also below I did not know the answers to some of the services they provide so I... More

The best high end restaurant in green valley but a bit disappointing. We had to wait a long time to be seated even though there were several tabled set up. The service is casual and a bit slow. Don't go if you need to do something else that evening. The menu is extensive with quite a few nice items. But... More

We ate here in Aug 2012 for the first time while visiting our friends and asked for a return visit last week when we saw them again. Food, service, ambience are superb, especially for a reunion. Great house cab. ONION SOUP, real calves' liver, crab cakes, roast duck. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended any time of year. I read the other... More
