The best high end restaurant in green valley but a bit disappointing. We had to wait a long time to be seated even though there were several tabled set up. The service is casual and a bit slow. Don't go if you need to do something else that evening. The menu is extensive with quite a few nice items. But... More

We ate here in Aug 2012 for the first time while visiting our friends and asked for a return visit last week when we saw them again. Food, service, ambience are superb, especially for a reunion. Great house cab. ONION SOUP, real calves' liver, crab cakes, roast duck. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended any time of year. I read the other... More

Superb classic French cuisine. Very well done. Pretty spendy and not the best venue: At the GV Country Club. Looks like a converted lounge, complete with an old wooden dance floor. Drab. Service was slow. GV could use better restaurants, but this seemed out of place. Still recommend for the food experience, if only once.

A group of 18 women made a reservation for Lavender, making sure to time our lunch reservation early - at 11:45 to avoid the noon rush. We had one server for our group and his service was unbelievably slow- our lunch took 2 hours and 15 minutes! When we were ready to pay, the credit card system was down and... More

They had a prime rib buffet in honor of the three kings. Very simple but delicious as expected from Chef Lange. Soup, Caesar salad, rolls, country pate, roasted Brussels sprouts , mixed veggies, potatoes and of course, excellently prepared prime rib. Found the trinket in the cake!!

Nice atmosphere but spendthrift and just ok food. Had to ask for bread rolls and server couldn't pronounce specials nor describe plate. Painful but ok once a year

We took my parents here while visiting. The chef clearly tries to put some creativity into the menu. My duck was a very tasty stew with sausage and white beans. My wife's chicken breast was cooked in a pastry with excellent vegetables. The other two meals also has unusual touches. My parents know all four servers and had given us... More

We've eaten here several times in as many years as the restaurant has been here, but last night was the best! We were celebrating our anniversary. I had the "Fricassee de Poisson sur Pâtés Fraiche aux Épinards Medley of Seafood with Shrimp, Sea Scallop, Salmon, Sea Bass, Baked with Fresh Spinach Pappadelle, Red Bell Pepper Coulis” and it was truly... We met some other family members here during the holidays for Sunday breakfast/brunch. We had a wonderful meal, and they had a few choices for our vegetarian daughter. We thought it was a great value for all the food we had, and you don't have to be a member to go there and enjoy the restaurant. The coffee was a... More

A friend and I had lunch at Lavender today. The food, especially the house-made pate, was delicious. We shared that, a sandwich and a good-sized Caesar's salad. The surroundings are elegant and the atmosphere quiet. The only disappointment was the very slow service. The restaurant was not busy at the time. Our server spent most of her time chatting with...
