Black Bear

Wow the portions are huge. A meal for two. Bisquits are fluffy. Quality ingredients. Always see people waiting.

This is the first time I went to Black Bear Diner. I was impressed with the restaurant as far as the food, prices, and service. They serve you a lot of food, I had to portion it and get a to go box so I can enjoy dessert:) Will go back! :)

If you are hungry go to Black Bear. The platters are huge and the food is really good. The waiters and staff are pleasant and the desserts are outstanding! If you like cobbler make sure that you stop by.

Drove over an hour to have a great breakfast. Travel Advisor claimed it was open, website said it was open. Closed for remodeling is not a great breakfast. Never ever will think about this place.

Although they may have been there for a long time, we were very disappointed with the food. The service was superb, however. We had the special dinner, I believe it was called Hungarian goulash, it was from hunger. No taste, overcooked noodles, no veggies and overall BLAH. Great pies & cakes for closing but not worth going except for this.

We stopped here to have breakfast on our drive back to San Diego Sunday morning. The wait was about 20 minutes but it was well worth the wait. The service was great and the food was yummy. I would recommend this place it's very good. Prices are reasonable, portions were good also.

If you like home-style food, this is a great place. Reasonable prices as well. Kinda has a Cracker Barrel vibe to it. The desserts have large portions and are excellent!

We stopped in for a late lunch on the way home from the Mayo Clinic. The staff's friendly and prompt greeting made a tiring day better. Even the other customers said hello. I had my favorite, the hot turkey sandwich. It was enough for two meals and excellent. My companion had the daily special it too was excellent and enough... More

Sometimes you just want comfort food and the Black Bear Diner in Goodyear is just the place. It reminded me of family restaurants when living in Milwaukee. We've been to this diner for breakfast and for dinner. Breakfast was great and dinner was very tasty. I've seen other reviewers complain about the tired look of the restaurant, or the food... More

We want to come back here again. The great selection on the menu and all the desserts...there is just too much to try. The service was great and the food was good. The place needs new carpet though as it is pretty dirty.
