It has Decent food, pleasant service. Its run down and Needs to be updated/renovated. We would eat there again. The beans and Spanish rice I had were pretty good. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals as well.

We tried this 2 different times while visiting Globe. The first night the food delievered was cold, the taco meat seemed old. Okay, everyone can have an off night. The second time was not much different. Food cold, taco meat not great and the enchilada and burro were cold :( Cannot recommend this at all

Had a supper takeout while in town and the service was fast, friendly and accurate. The food was fresh, hot and very tasty. Well worth going to while in town!

Irene's is one of my favorites for Mexican food in Globe, AZ Located conveniently on Highway 60 travelers can find it easily, but you will always find many locals there because the food is plentiful, excellent and authentic, at an affordable price. I ordered a four item dinner, taco, tamale, enchilada, and bean tostada. This entre also came with rice... More

I could only recommend this restaurant if you like deep fried and everything swimming in grease. We stopped for lunch because our favorite, Chaco's Mexican was closed for repairs. This place was horrid and we had to wait for service on a Sunday afternoon. The chips/salsa were marginal and the beef taco and beef enchilada were deep fried and very... More

I was on the way to Phoenix from the White Mountains and it was lunch time. I saw a sign on this place that said they had menudo and the parking lot was quite full. That and my growling tummy made me stop at this place. It was popular alright, it was packed. Fortunately there was one table that was... More

Been going here for years. Food is always good, service is sometimes sketchy. Seems like a big turnover lately,so do not be afraid to flag a waitress down if you need something. Seating is "seat your self" so don't be shy. Previous reviewer complained about the chili relleno being greasy, hey its real cheese inside and fried in grease-- it... More

Very busy at lunch time, but they hustled. I had the cheesiest quesadilla I have ever eaten. Yum. Booths could use some updating as we all seemed be uncomfortable.

The title says it all. The Mexican food here is very good. But the service can range from great to just so-so. I would still recommend for the food, but don't go in with great expectations on the service. The menu has items for those who aren't big Mexican food fans or for kids who just want chicken strips and... More

I'm glad we stopped at Irene's. We had the specials (green burro and green mix burro) and both were tasty. Good options for the kids too. Service was friendly although it took a few minutes for us to get the check at the end of the meal.
