Nice enough

First of all don't confuse this place with Guayo's El Rey in Miami, AZ. They are just a few miles apart. Not sure if its the same owner? Anyways, this place was packed at noon today. Service was prompt. I got the impression 99% of the people were locals. Food was pretty good (not great) but a... read more

I was very very excited to try this place based off of TA reviews. When we pulled up, the parking lot looked pretty full, which made me even more optimistic. Our service was prompt, but the table next to us had a really horrendous time (drink orders lost, waitress disappeared, incorrect dishes served). I ordered the 4x4, and the chilis... More

I read about this place and some others and based on what we came to first while driving back from Payson we decided to stop here. Man were we ever glad we did! This place was super tasty! Yes, we were starving after driving but we know good food when we have it. The service was excellent and the wait... More

Before setting out on a four day camping trip at Roosevelt Lake in the Tonto National Forest, we stopped for a quick meal. The menu is large with many combination special plates. The fried roast beef tacos were great. The regular burritos were excellent with red chili beef and bean. The plate portions were good sized, not small or overwhelming.... More

We drove the entire Apache Trail from Apache Junction to Globe (amazing!) and after a long day we wanted a late lunch/dinner in Globe. Trip Advisor rated this Mexican restaurant as the number one choice. We were not disappointed. Chile rellanos stuffed with chicken and cheese and beef enchiladas smothered in green chiles and cheese. Reasonable prices. They serve beer... More

We had lunch at Guayo based on the review... and there is a reason why it is at the top of the list. The food is very good. I had the chicken salad and it was excellent.

Owner Eddie and his staff make Guayo's on the trail my go to spot in Globe! I've been eating there for 35 years and the food has stayed consistently delicious! The chips and chile get you in the mood for food, and there isn't a combination you can go wrong with on the menu! The chips and ice tea never... More

Authentic Mexican restaurant, don't expect any frills but great food and reasonably priced. Lots of locals there.

Eddie does a great job of making everyone feel welcome. The service is great and the food comes out hot. Some of the dishes are great, and some so so. I think like any place you go it's like that. As a local which dishes the enjoy the most.

Stopped here for lunch on our way back from the Tonto National Monument, and we were very pleased. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and very efficient. Now to the best part, the food was phenomenal, it was fresh and plentiful. If you ever near Globe this is a place you should not miss
