We only went to Ajo Al's one time, not that we didn't like the food, atmosphere, service, but because there are so many Mexican food restaurants in the area that we prefer.

Usually my wife & I stick with restaurants we have heard something good about. This time we chose this place on a whim. For us bad choice. In this area of Glendale if the place is fairly empty on a Saturday afternoon that was strike #1. Directed to a patio table that was shabby looking and a little dirty stike... More

My wife and I have eaten at Ajo Al's, as well as most all the Mexican restaurants in this area. This is good Arizona Sonoran style Mexican food. The other night we went for dinner and really enjoyed our food. She had a taco and enchilada, and I had the chili burro, enchilada style which was very good. The restaurant... More

We spent a week in Phoenix and it seemed most of our meals took us in the direction of a Mexican restaurant. This one was another good choice. Nice decor and service. Love those chips and salsa with a bottle to replenish the tasty and slightly spicy stuff quickly right on the table. Had another salad that with the great... More

My sister and I took a friend to this location for supper. The waitress came to the table to take our drink orders and when she asked me what I wanted I asked what their house red wine was. She said, and I quote: " I don't know anything at all about wine what was it you wanted to know?"... More

The food here was fine, pretty much typical mexican food that you could get anywhere in town. We were there on a Saturday night early, no wait, restaurant was not busy, we were seated immediately, they took our drink orders and it was 25 minutes til we got our drinks, our waitress didn't even stop by, it was crazy. Luckily... More

Service was slow waited 15 min for margaritas and the restaurant only had 5 tables of people. My steak fajitas the meat tasted like meat that sat in it own blood for weeks!!!! Horrible not coming back. Must have changed owners. Fish fajitas had no flavor needed to be seasoned.

We found the menu selections to be pretty typical for your average tex-mex restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly as our food arrived piping hot. Our choices ranged from shrimp fajitas to pretty standard burritos and mushroom enchiladas. The shrimp fajitas were excellent although the accompaniments lacked cheese or sour cream and the guacamole was very bland. The other... More

Standard fare - we had enchiladas, chiles rellenos, burritos. All below standard quality. Refried beans were overly salty, quite heavy and gummy, like they had been whipped around in a food processor. Service was good: too bad the food didn't match.

Before I recently moved to TX we frequented this restaurant at least once every couple weeks. We love their tortilla chips and special salsa. My 7 yr olf son orders a quesadilla and devours it himself. We get their nachos because I haven't found a restaurant that makes nachos with melted cheese and beans and meat if you want it.... More
