I recently moved to the area and was looking for a great BBQ place and I think I might have found it. You walk in and it is quite a spacious and just has a great feel. I went a bit before dinner so I avoided any long lines and after a few short minutes was able to walk up... More

Casual dining, pulled pork is at its best, beef sandwich is also very good. The sides are very good and taste like mom made it. The house root beer is the best in the west. It is my first stop every time I'm in the area. The veggies are local from the owners farm. Keep in mind, that it is... More

After reading so many great reviews we couldn't wait to try this bbq. Be prepared to wait in a long line & go through a cafeteria line. Pulled pork was dry, almost the worst I've had. Cornbread was also very dry and only luke warm. I'd also pass on the mac n cheese. Atmosphere was nice. Don't sit in a... More

Always been partial to the Texas style, like beef as well as pork and favor good rub over sauce. Went to the places that claimed to Texas Q all over the valley. Won't bother reviewing the also-rans, check out my reviews if you like for #1 LITTLE MISS/Phoenix, #2 TEXAS BBQ HOUSE/Phoenix and #3 JOE'S REAL BBQ/Gilbert. Judged them on... More

I was in Gilbert for something and stumbled onto this gem- Joe's Real BBQ. I got there right before lunch, so it wasn't busy. By the time I was leaving, the line was long and seats were filling up. Evidently, locals know about this spot. Joe's is cafeteria style where you grab a tray and choose this or that. They... More

Stopped by for lunch with relatives who recommended this place and we wasn't disapointed. A great menu, something for everybody. Portions were generous, service was fast and friendly but most importantly the food tasted superb. For our party of 6, the bill came to 60 odd dollars with drinks. I had pulled pork, chicken and hot buttered sweetcorn. Probably the... More

I am not a huge bbq fan, so it's hard for me to give Joe's a rating. However, I will say that the atmosphere is great and their covered "outdoor" area is perfect for large groups. Their food is fresh and their ingredients are trustworthy. They have a decent variety on their menu, including a variety of sauces. And you... More

This restaurant is a fun place to have some good bbq, unlike any of the others in town. Their sauce is authentic and smokey, when you walk in the doors the aroma reminds you of good ol boy bbq. You almost feel like your in a barn with high ceilings, real wood tables and farm paintings on the wall. They... More

We are from the Midwest relocating to Gilbert for retirement. We like to take our visitors there for home cooked, large portion meals. Tractor is a conversation from home. Food is always high quality and generous portions. Homemade root beer is a favorite!. Crowds are the norm.. But service and clean up keep up with the volume. This place is... More
