I drove by the restaurant a couple of months ago and noticed that it was now a Candle shop. The last time I ate there it was bad food. I knew they wouldn't last long. They lasted a year or so longer but probably couldn't hold on. Bad food is a killer for a restaurant. No loss though..the food was... More

I use to get sushi here every Thursday and it was fantastic, a real find in Fountain Hills of all places. However now the sushi is very hit or miss. Not sure if ownership changed? Sometimes it's great and sometimes I'm not at all happy I spent my money there.

If you go, examine your bill carefully not only for math errors but for charges for things you never ordered. Our server turned my 3.00 beer into a 6.50 one. He turned my husbands 14.00 sushi plate into an 18.00 one. I ordered edamame and he brought an order for both of us. The servings of the latter were super... More

Went here with relatives for dinner. Typical Japanese sushi restaurant atmosphere. The service was good, the presentation was nice, and the food was good, but not great. We had edamame and several types of sushi. My favorite was the avocado and crab salad, which our waiter seemed to be pushing, but I guess for a good reason. Prices were very... More

Sakura is some of the best sushi anywhere in Scottsdale, let alone Fountain Hills. Taca (I think) makes excellent rolls and sashimi, and of course the restaurant's fish is ultra fresh. This is one of those small restaurants that must try. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly and efficient. Don't miss it.

We ate at this restaurant on the recommendation of friends in the area, and we're glad we went. The food was terrific. The chef whipped up the most magificent crab and avocado salad garnished with slices of apple. The sushi chef is Japanese; the other chef and host is from Taiwan. Together they make a terrific team, especially as they... More

We love this place! Always fresh and delicious. We wish them well and hope for more business because it seems "undiscovered"

The food was rather bland and the miso soup was lukewarm. The two gentlemen running the place were very friendly and cheerful, but they need to work on their food more, rather than the ambience and personality. Very traditional Japanese interior, with Japanese music. Since I am of Japanese ancestry I expected a much better quality of food.

I think the sushi is the best in the world. The sushi is actually made fresh by a sushi chef all the way from Japan. The entrees are delicious and the service is wonderful. I enjoy going with my family and friends and recommend it for all.

I have been going to Sakura Inn for the past few years. It is consistanly great. My son drives 1 hour to come to this restaurant. I eat Sushi every where I travel and this is better than 99% of restaurants all over the US. Give it a try if you live in the Phoenix area.
