Description: Along an historic highway towards Wine Country you'll step back into how...
Along an historic highway towards Wine Country you'll step back into how the west once was. There's nothing else like it as you dine in one of the most unique restaurants in Arizona! You'll be impressed with the rustic and authentic cowboy eatery. Enjoy fine steaks & seafood in the lush tree tops & large creek-side setting while watching the wildlife below. Eagles call this home, while the beavers build and the otters frolic. Find herons, wood ducks, turtles and others scouting out where they too find some of the best food in these here parts. Fine dining in a historic, but casual atmosphere. Join us for one of the best culinary experiences around. Freshly prepared and made to order Angus, Dry-Aged & organic grass-fed meats, homemade soups and desserts. Want the best; then come out West and see what all the locals are talking about. Full bar & fine local and international wines.

Great location, but a skimpy sandwich

This place has always had great ambience, even when it was just a local steakhouse. It's been fixed up very nicely inside and it looks out over Oak Creek. It changed hands again maybe 4 or 5 months ago and so I decided to stop for lunch and see how it was. The service was great, but I had the... read more

We loved this restaurant. We're foodies and relish discovering places like this, outside of the mainstream. While the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, even though it has a great location overlooking Oak Creek, the food and presentation were both top shelf. The chefs/owners are refugees from Berkeley and decided to bring their talents to, of all places,... More

We had a great lunch with our friends at this off-the-main road restaurant. It is within easy access to Sedona and has a great menu and great drinks. We sat where we could see the water and trees, and were able to talk to our friends for over an hour without being rushed because it has enough room to satisfy... More

The baby back ribs fell off the bone, but the meat was dry. No sauce was added to provide moisture to the meat. The baked potato had been prepared earlier and reheated before serving. The only topping was sour cream; no butter, bacon bits or chives

Dear Arnold, We are sorry your ribs came out a little dry. The ribs were a lunch special, Beef Ribs, that we had from the night before. We didn't re-write the special board that said; choice of mashed or baked potato with the ribs. We do not do mashed or baked potatoes for lunch. The server asked if you wanted... More

If you want to have a wonderful dining experience you must come to this lovely restaurant. The food was excellent, prepared just for you. The restaurant itself has a history going back to when it was a little store. I personally worked here many years ago with the original owners. So, this place has lots of memories! I had the... I enjoyed Up the Creek under previous management and find the new menu even better! The wild mushroom bruschetta was spectacular! The Caesar salad is wonderful. Crime brûlée and buttermilk pie are exquisite! Service is great and the view of the creek is very nice. Very strongly recommend the new Up the Creek!

Hubby ordered a hamburger (not a cheeseburger) and was very clear that he did not want cheese (he is allergic). Our waitress said no problem. The food is not quick here. When it arrived, his burger had cheese, which she didn't check. He had to flag her down and explain it had cheese. She took it back to the kitchen,... More

Dear LuvAZTravel, We take full responsibility for any mistakes that happen at our restaurant and are very sorry that your husband was inadvertently served a cheeseburger instead of a regular burger. I spoke with our server who waited on you and your family. She was not aware of his allergy to cheese and was trying to remedy the situation as... More

Big surprise in the middle of nowhere. Great service and food. Homey atmosphere. We had a great meal after an awesome ride with Horsin Around Adventures.

We had our anniversary dinner here. The food was excellent and the view was exceptional. The roasted beet salad is not to be missed and their steaks are perfectly cooked. One of the best teaks I have had in years. Hubs had the prime rib and it was oh so good. They have 2 different menus. The dining menu and... More

We enjoyed a good meal and super views of the river and the bird feeders over lunch. The burgers on offer were substantial and delicious - try the `Sedona' and the `Oak Creek'. The kingfisher, robins and blackbirds flitted by the water's edge, but the real delight was the hummingbirds coming to the feeders just outside the window, giving us... More
