We spent a month in Sedona and had the opportunity to try many restaurants in the area. We really enjoyed Up the Creek. Our only regret is that we discovered it fairly late in our visit so we did not have the opportunity to return for a second visit. The food was very good. The servers were attentive, pleasant and... The atmosphere and hospitality were welcoming and the food was great. So glad we drove out of Sedona the 12 miles to experience the fine cuisine in a down home river side setting. The steak and seafood entrees both fulfiled our expectations and the friendly service and value made for a great evening.

My husband remembers this restaurant from years ago when he traveled this area and so we set out to find if it was still open. It is, although there are new owners who have done some nice renovation and the food was 'almost' as good as he remembers. Very tranquil overlooking the creek and a very casual/rustic atmosphere. Very good... More

Well, we're glad you came to visit us too. We take pride in our food and service and strive to make it some of the best. Our ribs are intended to be a little different with the dry rub, coffee and Bourbon. I hope you'll come see us again soon..........my best..........Greg More

Congratulations on being chosen #1 Favorite at the Cinco de Mayo Chili-Cookoff @ Tlaquepaque in Sedona over the weekend! You were our first and best taste and delighted to hear you actually serve the same at your restaurant in Cornville. As we said you got both Greg and I to agree on something, nothing short of a miracle. We will... More

I must say I cooked 16 gallons of chili by myself and it was a lot of work....2+ days. I smoked our own meat and give it our best shot. Thank you for commenting here. I was honored among all the fine restaurants and I personally am happier with pleasing nearly 1000 people vs. three judges. We will display our... More

We only knew about this place because of the chili cook-off at Tlaquepaque. The people at the booth were so fun and friendly, we had to go! And we were glad we did. The drive was nice from Sedona, something we wouldn't have done otherwise. The atmosphere in the restaurant was awesome, sitting by the window. The food was excellent,... More

We have enjoyed this place because of the tranquil location overlooking the creek and the unique way they have of preparing food. HOWEVER, I think they are doing anything they can to keeping taking it to another level at the expense of good taste. Instead of making sure the food is prepared well and server hot, they are doing things... More

Ctnwd, I'm sorry you found our fries with too much garlic. We do serve all our fries (except kids meals) with various forms of garlic. Most people love our fries and of course sometimes it can be too little or too much as there's a human factor involved. We never want to over do it though. I find it a... More

I went here about eight years ago. It was awful, the service sucked, the food was deplorable, and it seemed like the bar patrons had not left their seats in twenty years. The overwhelming odor of nicotine greeted you as you walked in the door. The floor looked as though it had not been swept in weeks, the windows had... More

James J, Thank you for stopping in and seeing what we've done to preserve and protect this great historic restaurant. We've put a lot of effort into keeping that old west charm, but also making it a more upscale place to enjoy the creek, trees and wildlife below. This 56 year old building is worth it and we want to... More

Really not that hard to find. The address is Cornville but if you turn off AZ 89A between Cottonwood and Sedona on Page Springs road, Yavapai County 50 it is abut 5 miles on good road right after the bridge over Oak Creek. Right on the corner on the north side of the road. This is worth the trip just... More

This restaurant nestled on the edge of Oak Creek provides a serene and casual atmosphere for dining. I recommend asking for a reservation with a table by the window which offers a nice view. The filet mignon was tender and juicy. The unusual popular dessert of "buttermilk pie" is light and delicious finishing off a fine meal. I recommend this... More

This was a one time event on the slightly charred ribs. Dawn & I had some a night earlier and although I like a little char, I understand you and others might not. Keep in mind we do grill them and not boil them and anything on the grill could have some char broiling on them. If you read the... More
