If you are in the Sedona area, dining here is a must. The restaurant sits right on the Verde River, with wonderfully calming views. We often see blue herons across the river sitting quietly in the trees. On a cold day, you can expect a warm & inviting fire in the main room. The atmosphere is rustic offering soothing ambiance.... Had lunch there on Saturday1/17 and it was excellent. Nice variety of food in which to choose and the wait staff and owners were very friendly and knowledgeable about the items on the menu and the wine selections. Nice view of the creek from our table and am looking forward to going back and having dinner.

Just ate at Up the Creek on Saturday. What a fabulous place! Right on the creek, great view windows, quiet enough to have a conversation with friends over dinner, special plates like rack of elk. We had prime rib and rare-impossible for a restaurant to do right and they did! The vibe of owners who care and want the evening... More

We took our friends, from England, to Up The Creek on January 11, 2015. We had visited in the past, and while we understood that ownership had changed since our last visit we went with the good memories of the past. We were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted and shown to a table overlooking the creek. We were delighted... More

My sister and I stopped for lunch as we saw fish & chips written on the chalkboard at the road. We had a table right by the window overlooking the creek. Ducks leisurely swam by as the fire crackled inside. We both of course ordered the fish and chip special. Very good portion of fish, fries and coleslaw. The fish... More

The place has recently been sold so we decided to check it out and meet the new folks. They are nice. Same menu for another month, we were told. I had the special fish and chips which was awful. Greasy, soggy, no texture and no taste. The worst I have had in a while, but I must say that they... More

I am so sorry we did not get to try this rustic, appealing restaurant maybe before the new owners took over. We are regular Page Spring and Javelina Leap wine lovers and had passed this place so many times. We stopped for a drink the first week of Dec and once back in Phoenix the other couple we were with enticed... More

Dear Barbara, I remember your group very well, the two men enjoyed the Bison Short Ribs so much, they had a third order to split between them. Also, I remember how much you all enjoyed the Brandied Duck liver Pate'. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the food that I created, our new menu is moving more in that... More

We stopped for lunch before a wine tour and to accommodate the number in our party (nine) were fortunate to be seated downstairs by ourselves. Wonderful view of the creek and we were even able to turn the radio to the ASU game. The staff was very pleasant and able to answer all our questions about the menu. We had... More

Emto, Perhaps you'll be our last review as the original owners of Up the Creek Grill, as there are new owners as of 12-1-14. None the less, we are so pleased that you are happy with our freshly prepared dishes....desserts and all! Unfortunately, I've put a lot of effort into many of the recipes and guard them with pride. I... More

Sherrrrry, So glad you had a chance to try our unique Shrimp Cocktail. This dish took some time to dial in. It's inspired by our friends to the south. Using all fresh ingredients, this cocktail is not just for dipping, but consuming the whole batch as it's loaded with chunks of avocado, cucumber, fresh cilantro and many fine spices. We... More

My wife, myself and three friends decided to do dinner at Up The Creek after four hours on the Verde Valley Train out of Clarkdale, AZ (that's another review).
