Seafood cioppino was excellent and substantial, but with wine was very expensive. With tip, it cost $80. for two glasses of wine and the bowl of cioppino.

Kai rivals any New York, San Francisco or Paris restaurant experience we have had. The service is perfect, friendly and alert but not intrusive. (They don't refold the napkin when you temporarily leave the table, they replace it.) Pacing was perfect. Appetizers included real, melt in your mouth fois gras, artfully prepared. I am not a red meat lover but... More

From your greeting to the view to the appetizer, the wine selection, the main courses, the dessert and especially the service, Kai is the ultimate destination. Knowledgable staff, presentation above and beyond expectations on every journey here. Wait staff guided us to make 'daring' choices and they were spot on. Kai is truly 5 stars.

Absolutely the best meal I've had on this side of the Atlantic. I can't even describe it. Delicious, every diner had their own waiter. Would recommend to anyone in the Phoenix area. Travel a distance for this food. Oh, and you'll pay, but cheaper than many fine dining in Toronto or Vancouver.

Everything about this place is incredible--the service is outstanding, the food is delightful, and the presentation makes it all the more amazing. The menu is truly innovative and I love how they incorporated the local Pima culture into the cuisine. This is definitely worth going to.

Kai has been the highlight for my wife and me, time and time again, when we travel to Phoenix to visit my sister. This time was no different. The food, ambience and service have been consistently outstanding. From the pre-visit welcoming phone call confirming our table and checking for any dietary restrictions, to the personal thank you note and chocolates... More

Kai was more than just an exceptional meal with exquisite service, it was an educational experience. It starts with the menus, each of which feature a hand painted local Native American scene. It continues with the Pima/Maricopa grown produce used in the salads and entrees. One of the breads offered is a local Native flat bread. We chose buffalo, elk... More

After researching all of the fine dining options in Phoenix area, we decided to try Kai, especially since we were staying at the hotel for a conference. I was skeptical that a Sheraton on tribal lands could compete with the nation's best restaurants but I was wrong. Kai is simply outstanding! My wife and I are major foodies and we... More

We have done several Tasting Menus in South Africa, British Columbia and Washington, so when we read about Kai after we booked 3 nights at the Sheraton, we just had to eat there as we usually love tasting menus. First, the service is excellent. Sublime, really. The finest service we've experienced. However, none of the food items on the Short... More
