Traveled thousands of miles from NYC to have my best dining experience in my 57 years

My wife and I spent a week in Arizona and I made a point of making a reservation for dinner at Kai before we left NYC. I did it because I had never known a restaurant to have received a 29/29/29 Zagats rating. The restaurant lived up to that lofty rating, and then some. We had the buffalo and... read more

How can they do it? Every single detail was phenomenal and memorable: food variety, food texture, food taste, and food presentation. Accompanied by an excellent bottle of Priorat wine. Perhaps the best service we have ever experienced. Friendly, attentive, elegant, without being overbearing or pushy.

The service was attentive and impeccable. Native Flute music played in the background while our server presented us menus adorned with water colors by a triple elder who also did the paintings in the dining room reflecting on Native American life. A small amount of story telling about the menu paintings were told to us and then our culinary journey... More

The staff knew the menu and the wine list. They were around the room but you never knew they were there. The food was great and the wine list terrific. The dessert was also good. The dress was business casual and I would not suggest children unless they are seasoned travelers.

Four of us had dinner here on a Friday evening. Our friends had been there before and highly recommended it. Every bit of food we were served was excellent. The amazing variety of flavours and overall quality was truly superb. I had the foie gras for an app, and steak for the main, and it was, just like all the... More

I truly believe all those great reviews must have been written by the Kia restaurant. The decoration inside is dull. Only beige and brown. The food was poor. I've had good food all over the world and believe me. This was not good food - dull yes, good no. When I leave food on my plate that is not a... More

I have had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant about 10 times. Each meal has been wonderful. As a result of work, I have dinner out 3 to 4 times a week--all over the country. This is my favorite restaurant in the continental US.

By far, a most wonderful restaurant! The restaurant is located in a Sheraton hotel and the hotel will send a car to pick you up and take you home for a quite reasonable price ($30 each way). Beginning with the Lavender - Honey-infused Vodka Gimlet, to a choice of table water with four choices of sliced fruit to flavor, to... More

I've been wanting to try out Kai for a long time and we finally had the opportunity tonight. Wow, everything was outstanding! The decor is beautiful and I love how the artwork displayed on the walls and on the menu cover comes from artists from local tribes. It is not only a culinary experience but also an educational experience, as... More
