My favorite restaurant in Chandler, excellent atmosphere, especially in the back near the the walls with the Latino Folk Paintings. I highly recommend the enchiladas, especially the spinach with creme. The papas as a side is almost as good as the rest of the meal. Their queso sampler is very good. Sopapillas are also very very good. Their manager Chris... More

I grew up in New Mexico and my grandmother used to make us stacked enchiladas. Abuelo's has a dish they call "Mi Abuelo's Manjar" which means "My Grandfather's Favorite". Well, it is also my favorite! Topped with an egg and red sauce it is fantastic! Coupled with "Raja con Queso" a roasted green chile topped with melted cheese and pico... More

I was surprised to get a coupon for Abuelos in the mail the other day so we went for dinner. Abuelo's has really good food. Their prices have gone up a bit but are still very resonable. You get a ton of food and the margaritas are really yummy. If more than two people are drinking get the pitcher as... More

Good Mexican food, excellent fajitas - worth a visit! Reasonable pricing, friendly and attentive staff. The bacon wrapped shrimp are a must!

Why did I use that title? True Mexican meals are different but they're adapted to American's taste. Abuelo's is our favorite Mexican Restaurants in AZ. Their Guac salad appetizer is always excellent, served with very thin warm chips. An excuse to eat more chips when they're thin! Service is always excellent with drink refills arriving before you need them. That's... More

Great place to have a Mexican meal. The restaurant is very charming and the staff is great. My husband and I were glad we found Abuelos.

After a very long day and an evening at the Desert Botanical Garden we were all starved. On our drive back to our hotel consensus was "let's get Mexican food". Next thing we saw was Abuelo's. It was around 9pm, and there was no wait. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the hostess was very friendly. The menu had... More

My wife and I come here frequently for happy hour and we bring our family here a couple of times each year. Don't expect genuine Mexican food, but do expect some interesting blends of Mexican style food. You can also expect very friendly and prompt service as well as a welcoming atmosphere. Great for meeting with friends, family, or just... More

The shrimp chowder is very tasty! We always get a cup or bowl. The tenderloin medallions are excellent. Nice selection of adult beverages. The chips and salsa are good and delivered fast. It would be excellent if the drinks were delivered as fast. You can't resist the chips and salsa, but you need something to wash them down. :-)
