Description: In the 1930s, a man with the unlikely name of Johnny Walker built a bar called the Cave Creek Corral. Walker’s creation was an instant sensation with cowboys, playboys, politicians and laborers who gathered to drink A-1 beers at wooden tables under wanted posters.Harold Gavagan and his wife Ruth bought the Cave Creek Corral in the mid 1950s. Harold was quite a character, a depression-era Irish kid, a tough, but entertaining guy. Harold’s was a favorite movie location for Hollywood, attracting the likes of Dan Aykroyd, Bob Hope, Lynda Carter, Waylon Jennings and Dick Van Dyke. Cave Creek was not a short easy ride from Phoenix, in an effort to get visitors to Cave Creek, Harold acquired a trained lion and tiger act to entertain patrons.Once visitors were at Harold’s, he was concerned that they didn’t drink and stay long enough. So the building to the east of the restaurant became a bunkhouse, renting space for over night visitors.celebrities. Enjoy the fun atmosphere, interesting people and great food every day. We feature live country and western music Thursday-Sunday nights.Take a few minutes to browse the photographs on the walls of the characters and friends that frequent Harold’s. Went to Harold's for AFC championship game-lots of tvs and seating. Enjoyed the Mexican pizza-very thin crust and tasty with jalapeños, meat, black olives and cheese-would recommend and would order again. Shauna was our waitress and did a great job-friendly and attentive. Wide variety on the menu and the beer was cold. Worth checking out-will return. Carpe diem!!!

Went to Harold's for early lunch and one of us had breakfast and one lunch. Both were excellent. Lots of cars out front but only about one half full. Food was plentiful and great. Appears to be a popular place for locals. I would definitely come back.

Yes Steeler fans you have a home away from home at Harold's and they even have knock off Primantti sandwiches. Although I has their cheeseburger with and egg and hash browns on it and it was done perfectly medium they way I ordered it. Harold's is a big and touristy place and very casual with a mix of cowboy and... More

The place is large with lots of men drinking and screaming when their team scores. The floor show is delayed until the game finishes so if you are going for the show call ahead to see if there is a game. Otherwise don't go. The food is good value and the waiters are pleasant

Went here with family and enjoyed it very much. It's a fun and loud place. Huge menu with all sorts of good food. Fish and chips were very good and the service was fantastic.

We had a group of ten, seating for the group was a bit challenging to have all together, but in the end it was accomplished. We were there for dinner on New Year's Day. Had a frostini, excellent choice. Had fried fish, good batter, great portion. Onion rings were very tasty, flank steak was very good.

Came here during the Steelers/Ravens game (not a big fan of either team but it was the playoffs). The place was PACKED. We paid $5.00 for standing room only. The place is huge and given the crowd we assumed we would get bad food and service. We were wrong. The beer was reasonable with a good selection and the service... More

If you are looking for a true cowboy bar / restaurant with a varied menu and food you can eat, this is a good place to start. It attracts more than its share of locals and vacationers evidencing the owners and managers have cracked the code.Competitors in the immediate vicinity come and go and even the ones who stay simply... Breakfast, it's a large bar/saloon so don't expect gourmet. Think large portions of standard western breakfast (pancake stacks, fried potatoes, large omelettes). All enjoyed their meals, I split a vegi omelet and had a biscuit and fruit side. Though I'm not a big fan of the 2000calorie breakfast, I'd go again for that once in a while big hunger breakfast.

Went for dinner before heading next door for the bull ride. Atmosphere was pretty neat, but food was just bar food and really lacking anything exciting or memorable.
