I especially like the fried chicken platter and chicken wings here. A nice location down town old Cave Creek and surrounded by quaint shops with all kinds of southwestern stuff.

Country western atmosphere, delicious friend chicken with cole slaw and fries, barbecue ribs, versatile menu, we can't pass up the fried chicken, we have all tried the ribs delicious. They have music certain times, we went Sunday afternoon and they had a singer with a guitar, fun.

Comfort food for every palate. Chickens did not die in vain if they're prepared at Horny Toad. Burgers, melts and all manner of beverages, especially the prickly pear margaritas, are available for consumption at prices that won't consume your cash. Atmosphere is pretty typical for Cave Creek and the abundance of stores in the area make for at least a... More

We drive 20 miles on a regular basis to get our fix of their food. They have a big menu and always feature an in house made soup, main course and desert of the day. They have an endless fish fry on a Friday too. They serve generous portions (we always end up having some the next day). This place... More

The fried chicken dinner is a must and if they have the prickly pear margarita, get one. The restaurant is located in a quaint town with some interesting shops to poke your nose in and look around.

I believe it was an of day for the kitchen. I will revisit and post again. The wait staff is great. The manager was quick to make things correct. The food was great the second time around. I will gladly give this place another chance just because the staff was amazing.

It's been a while since my wife and I have driven out to Cave Creek. The FRI Fish Fry used to be a family tradition but the kids have all a moved out. I really like the way the outdoor patio has been redesigned to allow more patrons when the weather is cool like last weekend. Even though it was... More

A fun little local joint. We had good sandwiches (french dip and BBQ) - but save room for the best of all - the strawberry shortcake dessert. It's a large plate of warm cake with lots of warmish strawberries and whipped creme. Not stuff that we usually eat, but so delicious. The plate is enough for 2-3 people.
