Used to be great, but they closed down. Was sorry to see them go, one of the best restaurants around.
While we loved this restaurant over the past several years it is no longer there. We will all miss it but it has closed as of OCT (perhaps Sept). We were just there for 10 days and attempted to visit this fine establishment but sadly it is closed
I went by yesterday and it appears that the restaurant is closed due to a lockout by the landlord. I'm not sure if it will be reopening. I didn't find anything on the restaurant website.
While most of the shops have left the Spanish Village where the Carefree Station Bar & Grill is located, it is worth a visit. I had Spinach Salad which was good and spouse had Carnitas and really enjoyed them. Service great.
I was looking for a different menu and found it at the station. All I can say is can't wait to go back. Four of us had great meals. Duck breast and steaks were about the best. Smoked ceviche outstanding flavor. Humus plate with goat cheese. Rib eye with shirred mushrooms yum. Everything was done to perfection. They have a... More

Great outdoor patio under nice tree & desert vegetation. Food was delish. Had the Cobb salad & turkey sandwich both were great. Attentive service, great wine list. Will visit often... Don't miss this place.
A friend and I dined at Carefree Station and we both enjoyed our meal very much. I was looking for something different to drink and ordered their cucumber martini. It was absolutely great!
We sat outside and it was balmy. The terrace is nice. Our server, Heidi, was fine. We ordered a bottle of Clayhouse Malbec ($35) and shared it. It was good. We started with 2 salads, a beet ($9) and a mixed green ($8). Both were good. We had 3 mains: a lobster pasta ($27) that was very good but too... More
