This was our first and unfortunately, it will be our last visit to this highly touted tea house. I wish I could say our tea experience was extraordinary but it was abysmal. The only reason this review receives 3 stars instead of 1 is the excellent service and the excellent cups of tea. The servers were sweet and attentive and... More

This was our second visit to the English Rose Tea Room. Last time we enjoyed high tea, so this time we opted for lunch. The food was gourmet prepared. We had three different menu items and all three were superb -- Ham & Cheese Bread Pudding with an awesome cheese sauce drizzled over the top; Salmon Quiche; and Traditional Cottage... More

We had a great time celebrating a belated Mother's Day when my mom came into town this week. We originally planned on taking her to The Spicery in Glendale, but they were closed this whole week (4th of July week seems like an odd time to close, but that's another review). After some research, I found the English Rose Tea... More

The English Rose Tea Room is as lovely as a "rose"!!! My friend and I enjoyed a nice lunch with great food and atmosphere. I had the chicken salad and would get it again! The service was great. Very attentive. There are hats you are able to chose from to wear during lunch if you so desire. This may not... More

We were in the area for a family reunion and the women in the group decided to come here for tea & lunch....great idea! The atmosphere is such fun! It is like enjoying a meal in a hands on museum. Everywhere you look, there is something interesting/fun to look at! The service is wonderful and the food is great! It... More

What a lovely time we had at this charming tea room! I was so thrilled that my 87 year old Mother and my cousin visiting from Germany were both so impressed with this crown jewel of Carefree, AZ. The ambiance was perfect, the food was wonderful (don't miss the lemon curd!!), the tea was delightful (we chose Paris-it was SO... More

The most authentic English Tea experience you can find. Ladies fancy hats available to complete the ambiance of the beautifully decorated rooms. My Aussie spouse was very impressed and when he saw the full size image of the queen incisted I stand with her for a photo. Great fun.

I've been fortunate to attend many an event at this lovely place, and have always had a superb time. Last week I was at a Baby Shower for 16 that was just perfect. As always, we had made a reservation well in advance - with a place this busy, it is imperative! The hostess sat us swiftly at the adorable... More

Joann has brought a big bite of London to downtown Carefree. Her collection of hats for patrons' use insures that the atmosphere reeks of fun with a Downton Abbey vibe. Tea service is spot on and worth a trip up Scottsdale Rd.

I, along with other hostesses, planned a bridal tea at the English Rose Tea Room. We thought, what fun. A charming little tea room. And, it may be fine for a party of 3 or 4, but the restaurant simply can not, or will not, accommodate a large group. One of the hostesses had met with the manager or owner... More
