While celebrating a family occasion at the restaurant, we were treated like royalty. The staff had a big task on their plate and stepped-up to the occasion. As usual, the food did not disappoint! Absolutely the BEST MEXICAN FOOD I have ever had the joy of eating!

Went to Hacienda for the first time with 3 other friends. Took forever for our server to take our order, we had to constantly ask for drinks. The spinach queso was good if it were HOT. One of my friends order nachos and got like 8 chips for 15$. The fajitas didn't even sizzle. Server brought us our food and... More

My shrimp tacos tasted faintly of plastic but I considered myself one of the lucky ones who did NOT get physically sick afterwards. On a different note, the bathrooms are a hundred degrees and a breeding ground for mold. They smell terrible. Not the typical bathroom-smells one might understand, but extreme funk and wet mold. Never again.

The restaurant is known as "The Hairy Taco" by my group of friends. If you want big black hair in your food, this is the place for you! And after showing it to the server, the meal was still on the bill. And the worst part of this whole thing, is that we ate there before and had the most... More

While headed back to Anchorage from Fairbanks, we decided to stop for dinner in Wasilla. Initially, we were at a fast food place but I really wanted a decent, satisfying meal prior to heading for the airport. I noticed the Hacienda Restaurant across the street and thought we'd give it a try. The food was NOT the type of Mexican... More

The food isn't bad for a franchise restaurant. The bartender was warm and friendly, making our impromptu lunch stop enjoyable. They have a nice selection of tequilas.

After deciding on Mexican food, we (a couple and two friends) had only a few choices in Wasilla, and the Hacienda turned out to be pretty decent. Of course, it caters to Americans (not authentic), and it appears to be a standard chain. But we enjoyed it. They did have a fairly good variety on the menu, e.g., at least... More

The food is a rip-off of traditional Mexican dishes, Americanized to the core. You're paying for atmosphere, but if you want real enchiladas, it's better to find one of those little hole in the wall places that still know how to make a good salsa. Another big drawback; they do not know how to make a good tortilla in Alaska,... More

Where to start. This is the 2nd worst mexican food I had in the US. The chicken fajitas had 3 pieces of chicken hidden by onions and green peppers. The other dishes chicken soup and shrimp with sauce was only slightly better. Had to beg for some real tasting mexican hot sauces. I think this place survives on beer and... More

I call a Mexican restaurant anywhere other than in the Southwest a location compromise. That isn't always carved in stone, but in this case it is. The food wasn't bad...it just wasn't up there with more "native" locations. When in doubt, I just order the quesadilla. The other folks who weren't very hungry had Fajita chicken salads and weren't as... More
