We stopped here for lunch, as part of our Alaska tour. We were not expecting much. What a pleasant surprise. The owners welcomed us, and made sure we had what we needed. The meal was buffet: salads, sandwiches, and desserts. The food was terrific, very tasty. It is a beautiful place, very clean and our hosts were extremely accommodating. I... More

Our family has dined at Settler's Bay Lodge monthly for the past 4 years since moving from Colorado. Our family has traveled extensively and we have lived all over the United States. We recognize and enjoy good food and service. Settler's Bay employees and owners have always been friendly, even when the place is packed. We rarely make reservations and... More

Where to begin? Hubby and I chose to go to Settlers Bay for our anniversary dinner and what a mistake that was. We both have eaten there many times with the food and service getting increasingly worse. The night began with us walking in and being greeted with an empty hostess station, this seems to be something that they do... More

Your server brought to our attention that you weren't satisfied with your meals. When I got to your table, you said everything was bad from the salad to the entrée. You were very rude and used profanity that grabbed the attention of surrounding tables. Your main complaint was the salad had a limp piece of lettuce, the calamari wasn’t crispy... More

After golf we decided to eat at this establishment . I have never felt so sorry for a wait staff. Apparently , 3 or 4 had called in on July 3rd leaving them shirt staffed. They were working themselves into a frenzy. We luckily were not in a hurry. Our waiter , was running about and kept apologizing for everything.... More

I come here often. The view is amazing the service is great. My favorite is the spicy orange prawns. Always cooked perfectly! I recently ordered the schnitzel and the portion was more than I could eat. The chefs will greet you from their open kitchen and there is a very friendly atmosphere. One thing on my wish list is oysters.... More

We came with a larger group without a reservation and Settlers Bay was able to seat us with no questions asked! Let's just start with the beautiful ambience!!!! Stunning scenery in every angle. For starters we had a few cocktails which the bartender made perfectly! We had the seared Ahi tuna which was seared to perfection and arranged beautifully on... More

Went out with my husband and family for my birthday. He ordered the king ribeye. My brother in law as well. Both were asked how would they like it. Medium Rare both replied. When brought the steak it was WELL DONE! My husband usually never complains and sends food back. He actually immediately requested a new one because of it... More

We ordered chateaubriand medium rare and it came out well done. They did offer a do over but it took 45 minutes the first time and the rest of our party was almost done eating so we said no thanks. Our salads were soggy, the only thing edible were the roasted veggies. They actually charged us $10 each for 'eating... More

I have been here a few times and can't say enough about the food!! Delicious steaks and appetizers. Cooks are top notch. I am always disappointed by the service. The servers are slow to return to the table and are not ever very friendly. Every time I have been here I feel they are understaffed or just don't put any... More
