Good food and within walking distance

The food was good and reasonably priced for the island. It is within walking distance of Le Moana, the MaiTai and Soffitel on the main island. There is no ocean view, but the quality of the food makes up for that - French cuisine, pizza and I think sandwiches for lunch.

Lucky House was a great little place to have dinner. Locals and tourists alike were at this restaurant. They have great pizzas, drinks and desserts. Some of the best pizza I had - fresh ingredients, sauce, mozzarella cheese, and crispy thin crust. Service was excellent - one the best I've had on the island. We had our drinks, food and... More

After a day at Matira, I was looking for dinner options and decided to check out Fare Manuia to try their signature Surf and Turf, but unfortunately lobster was not available - I was told the lobster season was in July - so I opted for Tagliatelles aux St-Jacques et Foie Gras Maison (Tagliatelle with Scallops and Foie Gras). The... More

Also known as the "Lucky House" this little restaurant is about a 2 minute walk on the mainland from the Intercontinental Le Moana resort. It is a simple place with a small swimming pool in the back. The pizzas are made on a 'pita' like base and cooked to order in a woodburning oven. There's no a/c but the beer... More

We had the pasta and shrimp based on other reviews and found it somewhat bland. My daughter was a little freaked out over the heads on the shrimp, but I took care of it for her. We also went back for take out pizza one night and again the pizza could use a little more seasoning. they did provide packets... More

Great food with reasonable prices! The service was always good here, we came back every other day during our trip. Full bar and a pool you can jump into while waiting for food! Great music, ambiance, and FREE wifi! Also, walking distance to Matira beach.

The kitchen in the Intercontinental Le Moana was closed during our visit so we tried quite a few spots for dinner last week. The Fare Manuia was our favorite. Ate there more than once. It's literally around the corner from the Intercontinental so no taxi or pickup service required if you're staying there. Try any and all of their dishes... More
