For the experience- not for the food

We went for a lunch. The food was fine not exceptional. Service was good. Drinks were fine. But it is so famous, you don't want to say you went to Bora Bora and didn't visit it. The sand floor and stools are fun. Take photos by the famous persons wall. Washrooms are unique. And yes, I did buy a... read more

We only went once on our last night in bora bora buy would have loved to do it again. Timber framing with bamboo everywhere, palm trees, subtle lighting and sand for the floor felt like we were having din er on a tropical island which I guess technically we were anyway. Greeted at the door by friendly staff who explained... More

This place is supposed to be famous and it is cute- sand floors, palm tree and palm frond construction, but we got there, ordered, and the meal honestly took an hour and 15 minutes to come out. Thank God I was talking with a friend to kill the time. We had to get up and fetch a wait person to... More

What a great dinner. You walk in to a sand floored space with Polynesian decor. The owner shows you the catch of the day. A huge table laid out with a variety of fresh fish, some you've never heard of before. Make your choice and sit down to prepare for some of the best fish I've ever eaten. Friendly wait... More

Secured our Yacht at the free mooring ball and parked our dinghy easily across the road to enjoy this charming Tahitian-style open-air restaurant. Sitting on lacquered tree stumps set into the sand floor, we were quickly served tasty burgers, salad and seafood -- not to mention delicious drinks (including a hallmark Bloody Mary or two) to quench our thirst. Mary's... More

This is THE PLACE for the rich and famous in Bora Bora! You never know who will walk in! I loved the tiki hut decor. My burger was tasty but expensive. Service ... In French Polynesia tipping is not part of the culture. I thought it rude and inappropriate for the waitress to be upset when no tip was given... More

Had a good meal of Mahi and white Tuna; other selections were lobster, ahi tuna. The place is a celeb favorite with famous names prominently displayed outside the restaurant. Service was attentive, most patrons come because included in package. The menu is presented live and you make your selection when you arrive.

My husband and I were recently travelling around French Polynesia for our honeymoon/first anniversary holiday. We decided while on Bora Bora we wanted to go to Bloody Mary's and so we booked weeks before our holiday to ensure we got a table. Unfortunately 2 days before our reservation the restaurant called our hotel telling us that they had cancelled our... More

Food was fantastic. We shared tuna shish kabobs which we were awesome. I enjoyed a ribeye steak while my husband feasted on tuna steak, both we selected from the display case. Agree with another review that this makes for a wonderful evening meal. Ambiance was perfect and the service wonderful.
