This is the case of a restaurant that HAD a reputation attached with fancy celebrities visits with little to offer excited tourists but a sandy floor, thatched roof, and the ability to choose something to eat out of a deli meat/seafood counter. I sincerely do not understand the fascination with this place. It has most certainly been able to survive... more

My wife and I stayed at Intercontinental Le Moana and we listened a lot about this restaurant. We booked one day before and the Bloody Mary´s transfer picked us up at the hotel. The restaurant is a polynesian style, the service is nice, there´s a waitress who spoke portuguese too. The food was good but too litle. The price is... more

Shades of Polynesian restaurants of yesteryear (remember Trader Vic's?), this high-class tourist trap has pretty good food, very hard stools, and decor out of a Disney version of Polynesia. Conjured up in the '70's, this is a restaurant that, unlike its tiki-tiki siblings, refuses to die. more

This is old as I haven't been there since '98, but maybe a contrast. The atmosphere was great, really got a kick out of the restroom where you had to wash in a waterfall. Food was a little better than average, but hey, the owner is from Downey, California. Maybe his version of California/Polynesian cuisine. Had a big wooden billboard... more

I won't tell people not to go to this restaurant, because it is one of those "must do" things while in Bora Bora. It has been around since 1979 and I think was the first independent restaruant on the island. But it is a tourist trap. They just churn you out. You get dropped off, they send you in to... more

We just stopped here for lunch. I had a burger with grilled onions, my husband had the mahi mahi burger. Mine was a bit fry but OK. The atmosphere and decor are really nice and they take credit cards. more

First off It's not that expensive. Our bill came less than $120 including a few drinks. The food was not great, tastless steak, cold & crunchy pasta, etc. The interior is really cool and it seems to be the place to be in Bora Bora. My advise is to stop in for a drink and buy a T-Shirt then go... more

The food here is actually pretty good, with a variety of options that you get to see before choosing your meal. Portions are large, so you can skip the kabob appetizers they offer. It seemed like a lot of people are excited about eating here, but he restaurant was just a bit too touristy for me. The entrance has a... more

My wife and I ate here twice during our stay in Bora Bora. It had a good reputation and the hotel staff recommended it as well. It's probably the most "American" of all the restaruants on the island with the layout of the place and what's on the menu. It's the biggest restaurant on the island by far so getting... more

We were sailing through the French Polynesian Islands and went here to dine one of our evenings when anchored offshore. We were a group of 7 and had an excellent evening. The building is typical for the Island with a sawdust floor. You select your main course from an array of (raw) food arranged on a display stand.EVeryone enjoyed their food and I... more
