Upon ordering I was thinking this place was overrated. The menu isn't your typical menu, drink and food are bundled for breakfast and they didn't have a staple like hamburger on the menu. On top of that my wife said the coffee wasn't good. She normally has several cups but she didn't even finish the one cup. We got through... More

The Roadhouse is just around the corner from the ranger station where every climber must check in before making their ascent so naturally the restaurant and hotel is full of adventurous souls. The Roadhouse has good food in a great Denali atmosphere but it really wasn't about the food or the decor. It was sharing a meal with some of... More

Family home is the perfect way to describe this cozy Roadhouse. Good food brings people close. Sitting with strangers, eating great food, makes friends! I LOVED coming here to eat. I always ordered, for breakfast, pancakes and they'd put lots and lots of chocolate chips in them. Then they'd let me know it was made with love, knowing I LOVE... More

We had been up here years ago and when we returned we knew we must return here. It is a cozy family type place that has great family cooking. Looking for a great home cooked meal at a very good price you must stop in.

It's worth the trip from anchorage to go get breakfast on a Sunday to this place. The kids ordered some sourdough pancakes and they are hugeeee! It can feed the whole family and they are the best tatting ever. I would recommend going here, you will not regret it.

This place is great. It has a unique atmosphere with large shared tables, very cozy. We had the reindeer chili, that was the best chili I ever had! They served dinner with sourdough bread that is done with the same starter from the 1900s! Everything was delicious!! We wanted to go back the next day for breakfast but the place... More

This place is about the coolest restaurant I've ever eaten in. It makes you feel like you are right at home. You share tables with other patrons, at first I didn't really like it, but the atmosphere helps you get over the fact that you might be sitting and eating next to a complete stranger. This restaurant is the "Hub"... More

Wow, I know it's a small little place but, if there is a place in Alaska with a better view or people let me know. I haven't been to central Canada yet. People went out of their way to help you. The Roadhouse was great, even though my wife didn't understand the seating arrangement. Haha. Close enough, but far enough... More

Wow- great breakfast stop! I visited Talkeetna for the first time this summer and am really glad I chose breakfast at this place. The service was friendly (albeit slow), the ambience was cozy, and the food was satisfying. Both my fiancé and I had blueberry sourdough pancakes, and they were pretty epic. I am usually not a pancake fan, but... More

What I love about this place is the cozy warm atmosphere and the food! one of my friends and I played checkers in the game room by the fire while we did our laundry. I just loved it.
