Family style seating. Make some new friends while you are there. Great food! Check out the chili! The breakfast portions are for the hungry! Don't miss Denali at the turnout about a mile out of town while you are there. Yes you can rub elbows with the mayor, stubbs the cat, just a block down the street!

Talkeetna is a touristy town off the beaten path but well worth the 15 mile journey while on your way to Denali or Anchorage. The Roadhouse was amazing. It was almost 100 years old. The sourdough pancakes I ate were from a starter that was from when it opened. My husband's bowl of soup was delicious. They have yummy baked... More

Two years in a row we visited the Talkeetna Roadhouse. We stayed for 3 nights in August of 2015. I am a foodie and travel all over North America and the Roadhouse, hands down, has the best pastries, pies and breakfast I've ever had. We already booked for nights for this August.

a visit for a cup of coffee or a whole meal. Historical building adds to a very inspirational eating experience, not to mention the good food on filled plates. The walls tells a lot of interesting stories.....

We booked a room in the roadhouse itself and LOVED the charm of this classic building. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, the service was excellent, and the food could not be beat. I'll be sure to stay again.

We had a great breakfast and the staff were helpful in getting it out as soon as they kind. We also enjoyed some pastries in the afternoon.

The Talkeetna Roadhouse is a genuine roadhouse. A lot of backpackers and climbers board here between their adventures on Denali. They offer bathrooms, showers, and laundry to anyone. The food is average. I think it is worth visiting for one meal to experience the shared atmosphere. There is a bakery and cafe that I heard was good, but we did... More

Talkeetna is a weird town. If you've been there, this needs no explaining. Normal people hear of the place. Those losing touch with "normal" may venture to visit. No one who will read this review stayed. It's that far off the path of "normal". But it's some of that crazy that appeals to those who are here. Passing thru on... More
