Have been there a few times and each time is better than the last. No other place like it and the staff is only outdone by the food. A true old Alaskan relic, not to be missed. The bakery is FABULOUS!!!

Somewhat disorganized because you seat yourself wherever you can find a seat but that adds to the charm. Also many tables seat 6-10 people so we got to sit down and meet some nice folks. Seemed to be the most crowded breakfast spot and for good reason. large portions (Do not order the "full sized plate"-believe me the 1/2 plate... More

The Talkeetna Roadhouse is still my favorite place in Alaska. Has the best cinnamon rolls, best soups, best atmosphere. An old time Roadhouse with lodging. Jumping off point for climbers headed to Denali.

I've eaten once before at a family style seating, and both times were good. I would assume that this can be not comfortable for some (especially young children)...for us it really was nice. The prices were good, the food and wait staff were even better. Their desserts from bakery were excellent.

Went to the Roadhouse for breakfast - unless you have a very hearty appetite and can put away a lot of food, order a half breakfast! For me that included a nice, thick piece of honey whole wheat toast freshly baked on the premises, a generous portion of home fries, a link of reindeer sausage and scrambled eggs. While it... More

I had the small bread with roast beef and my husband had the small bread with pulled pork. The bread was delicious but I wish we had been more hungry because the cinnamon rolls and blackberry pie looked great.

Best breakfast in all of Alaska. The sourdough berry pancakes were the best I've ever tasted. Wonderful

Rustic, restaurant & bakery with excellent food. Reasonable fair prices. Favourite of the locals who join tourists for meal. Menu is varied with lots of local fare. Pancakes are huge & very tasty & my favourite.
