Best breakfast, complimentary coffee and tea, board games, a fire place, great conversations...this place has it all! Plus everyone is super sweet and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom even had a bathtub that came with bubbles and rubber duckies. It's a shame we could only stay one night!

We really loved the atmosphere at the Talkeetna Roadhouse - very warm and inviting, family friendly and the food was delicious! Great homemade rolls and baked goods. I even brought some of their apple butter home with me!

Great place to visit. Sit anywhere there is a spare spot and enjoy conversation with people you have never met. Charming atmosphere, very relaxed and the breakfast is unbelievable - you must try the home fries. We went there as a couple while on a cruisetour and sat with the most amazing family from Anchorage who had camped with their... More

Talkeetna is a fascinating town, 20 miles off the main road to Denali, and worth the side trip. It's arty and funky and unique, and in the middle of town is the Roadhouse. This is the place to eat. The food is good and there's lots of it (one pancake more than filled a 12 inch plate). Meals are served... More

The Talkeetna Roadhouse is gorgeous. Designed to be a family friendly, genuine old roadhouse, where meals and bathrooms are shared, it was warm, hearty, and clearly very popular. The breakfasts were very large - take a half-fare not a full-fare and you will still be unable to finish it. The scrambled eggs were excellent - the server said that the... More

My friend and I ate breakfast here one morning and had a great experience. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. The staff was fun. We had a great time chatting it up with some locals because of the family style dining.

Predictably touristy, and not the greatest value but fun to sit and chat with other tourists. The food was just OK. Not sure where else in Talkeetna would have been better, however.

Upon ordering I was thinking this place was overrated. The menu isn't your typical menu, drink and food are bundled for breakfast and they didn't have a staple like hamburger on the menu. On top of that my wife said the coffee wasn't good. She normally has several cups but she didn't even finish the one cup. We got through... More

The Roadhouse is just around the corner from the ranger station where every climber must check in before making their ascent so naturally the restaurant and hotel is full of adventurous souls. The Roadhouse has good food in a great Denali atmosphere but it really wasn't about the food or the decor. It was sharing a meal with some of... More
