grab a growler!

We added a growler from here to our collection and it was great. Walked in and walked out happy. Stop in if you are in the area.

I've been a patron of this establishment for over 17 years I've never once had an issue it's under new management and I've met them and they're great people. Always a pleasure.

I was keen to eat here as it came highly recommended. The pub is full of interesting photos and articles around attempts to climb Denali (Mt McKinley) from the west rib. Talkeetna is a launching place for many such attempts, and the pub a natural meeting place, where plans are formed. Clearly there were many locals here and it was... More

I went to the West Rib & Pub because I had been told it was the best place to get a caribou burger and was not disappointed. Not only was the atmosphere typical Alaska, but the food was great! It was cold outside but very warm inside and everybody was friendly. The Pub is connected to Nagley's which was an... More

My wife and I dined here in July 2014 because they advertised "Copper River Salmon". Our tour guide had sung the praises of the Copper River species of the Alaskan Sockeye so we had to try it. The restaurant itself is an unimpressive, typically rustic small town bar-café-restaurant, and we weren't really even hungry but had to try the fish.... More

The West Rib Pub and Grill is a great hole in the wall in Talkeetna. It is not fancy but has great food and friendly service. Locals were eating there and it just gave us a true feel for Alaska. We just had sandwiches, a Halibut and a Burger, both were quite good. It was a nice day so we... More

Friendly service, good portions. I loved the home-made chilli and the special strong 'Ice Axe' ale brewed especially for them by the Glacier Brewhouse in Anchorage. It was quite late when we went and near closing time and I wish we could have stayed longer and drunk more.

This is a great place to relax, chill and eat a juicy burger. We make sure to stop here each time we visit Talkeetna.

I had this idea that while in Alaska for our two week trip I would eat crab legs nonstop, being that they are one of my favorite foods. Boy was I shocked--most everywhere they are the same price, or more, than we can purchase them for back on the East coast! What?! However...West Rib had a pound of legs, fries,... More

If you are going to climb Denali (Mt McKinley), than this is the place to go for your last meal before boarding a small plane or your first meal after returning from two or three weeks on The Great One. Climbers seem to crave cheese burgers, cold beers, and french fries, but so do locals and tourists. Nice views and... More
