Coming here was a nice change from the usual fare. Everything was home made and tasted great. The owners are very nice. It is on the spur road and not in town, but definitely worth it for something different. Also if you are staying in Talkeetna, I heard from someone that if you order about $50 worth of food that... Well worth the stop at this modest. Gang guy is chicken curry just like we ordered in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We enjoyed speaking with the cook and owner.

We stayed here because there was no vacancy in the cabins downtown. We had a car so we didn't mind being 10 miles from town. We ended up paying half the price we would have downtown. The easy access to great Thai food is a bonus. We would stay again if we run out of downtown options.

Great food, great ambiance, great hosts! A refreshing change from the fish-and-chips and other hamburger type stuff you get at Talkeetna. The old-man isnt that old and is great company! (hope he recognizes me from the review!)

Despite being a little roadside trailer, they do an awesome job with their fried rice, and the spring rolls are awesome (they never make it home)! It's definitely one of my go to places in Talkeetna for tasty takeout. They also have a few tables on site!

The entire restaurant is actually a small trailer. lots of mosquitos but food is above average. No restroom but they provide an outhouse. service is very good and fast. went back second day but they decide to close at 8 pm because they have friends visiting them from out of town. We drove quite a distance and that is why... More

Payo's is another excellent place to eat in Talkeetna. The food is delicious. Portions are very generous & at a reasonable price. Payo will also customize how spicy you want your meal!! My favorite is the Spicy Chicken & Basil!!

They have moved out of the downtown area of Talkeetna to about mile 1 on the spur road, where they were located before downtown. But the best part is they still have great food, even if it looks like a trailer, because it is, doesn't change the fact that they have some of the best food around.

Very authentic Thai food. Felt as if eating on Bangkok streets. Went crazy over soups. It was such a treat in that wilderness that it added value to out stay in Talkeetna.
