We have been regular patrons for the better part of the last year and can honestly reccomend this take aways shop to anyone looking for their fish & chips or european takeaways fix. The service is consistently friendly, there are lemons and sauce in store for customers, the chips are crunchy and well cooked and I love the crispy squid,... More

We were staying in Orewa for just one night on stopover to Auckland. Not a restaurant, a take away with good selection of fish etc. We were so lucky to find Kippers for a take away supper. The fish and chips were really good and very good value. Good location, nice friendly staff.

We've been there this January and had a snapper and another Fish (2 Fish and 1 chips). Together it came to 18NZD and I should say that the Fish is delicious and Chips are awesome. Don't expect a fancy restaurant, it's more of a take away than a dine in. They don't serve beer or any other type of alcohol.... More

We stopped for a bite to eat in the evening while staying in the area. The deep fried snapper and chips was very tasty and good value at NZ$6.50 per portion. Excellent location right opposite the beach, great for an evening stroll.

Fish excellent, rubbish mushy peas, blended to a sauce with not a pea in sight and not a pleasant taste.

Probably the best fish & chips we've had for ages. Had visited earlier in the day, so phoned and picked up the order to eat back at the Nautilus while watching the Chiefs win another rugby game. Perfect all round.

Had snapper and chips - absolutely delicious. Had to wait over 1/2 hour from placing order before order was ready (2 x fish and chips) but was well worth the wait. Friendly staff

Being a Brit, I know my fish and chips, or I thought I did. Kippers has taught me that there's more to fish and chip than batter and vinegar. I had the tarahiki and my husband had the snapper. Both crumbed with chips. Perfectly cooked fresh while we waited. We walked across to the sea and sat and ate them... More
