Lovely cafe with great selection of cabinet food

Good cafe with great selection of cabinet food altho some of the dishes are less great. Good for watching rugby of an evening too. Also has nice semi-outdoor area for when the weather not too cold. Downside is not ideal for small kids as there's no out of the way corner area for them to hunker... read more

We just had a snake there, which was very good. Did however have a couple of beers. Place seemed very popular and busy both times we went there during the day. Service was great and beers a fair price. Food seemed to be a bit pricey

We arrived with a few friends and to have lunch. It took longer than half an hour to get our food on our table and quality was average, definitely not good value. Worst thing was feeling cheated when the following day we gave them a second chance and we ordered a desert: they charged a ridiculously high price for a... More

We're only in town for a few days and ate here twice, once each for breakfast and lunch. The food was very good, good portion sizes and have a varied menu. E.g breakfast we had granola, eggs benedict, full English breakfast. Recommend the banana berry smoothies.

On ordering our main meals, which on your menu states "all mains come with salad and chips/fries" my partner received his meal first with no chips, when he questioned it, the gentleman who brought his order out looked puzzled but did go and get a bowl of fries, then stood at the service window, and I presume he didn't know... Our food was cold, one item was not as advertised (burger with bacon and caramelised onion came out with no bacon or caramelised onion, just relish) and we were missing a drink. We tried to get a waitress/waiters attention but they were busy then a really large group came in and they were very busy. We had to get on... More

Had lunch at The Rocks today with my family. A clean and personable cafe with a nice cosy feel. I ordered a vegan risotto cake with salad that was yum. And the kids had a Jan and cheese croissant and lolly cake which was devoured in short order. Great coffee. We just felt it was a tad pricey for what... More

Ordered the Beef Nachos and Seafood Chowder both of which came out cold. Took them back and received nothing in terms of an apology, when we received the dishes again both had simply been nuked in the microwave. The cream cheese and guacamole on the nachos then had an extra dollop on top of the microwaved original, not good. Corn... More
