I was a regular visitor here during the six weeks I house sat in Ohakune at the end of last year, mainly to watch SKY sport or for a rest before the walk back home with groceries. Staff were helpful in getting the right channel set up and I could even have sound if I sat in the 'outside' smoking... More

We got our meals and teas quickly although my order was wrong it was quickly rectified. However queuing to order was painfully slow... More

This must be one of the very few restaurants that have offered to replace my salad/garnish on my burger with an alternative as I don't eat salad on my burger. The food was good but not great, they didn't have some items from the menu but what they made was quick and good enough to make us consider going again... More

We visited during Labour weekend, the cafe wasn't busy and I ordered the seafood chowder, berry pie (from the cabinet) and coffee. The coffee and pie were great, they even went so far as to warm it slightly for me and offered a choice of yoghurt or cream on the side, however, the same couldn't be said for the soup... More

As we looked for dinner we read the reviews on this place while sitting in it and having a drink. Thinking that it wouldnt be good we left and had a look around but came back in the end. Had nachos with a huge portion of sour cream. A yummy ginormous canaloni and a well cooked and seasond steak with... More

I'm a regular here when ski-ing and you usually know what you're going to get. They have Steinlager jugs here which is a double plus good. The food is trickier - last time they had run out of most things but were still handing out menus and only telling customers about what was off when they tried to place their... More
