More Modern Take on traditional restaurant

Set in a renovated warehouse with views overlooking the Avila city walls, the interior has a modern "design" feel to it. Traditional local dishes, including the famous Chuleton of Avila, so come hungry! Mixed tapas to start with were very good. For those interested the bar has an extensive... read more

This restaurant outside the Avila walls is not within the usual path of an Avila tour but it is worth the extra ten minutes or so, to cross the bridge. An old warehouse has been converted into a fine dining restaurant with windows facing the legendary walls. The day we visited the appetizer special was grilled, and then lightly gratinated... More

Very good meal. The menu is not very long but enough because every plate has a very high quality and is original. I loved the quality of the service and the cooking. It is a very elegant space and you feel you are eating at a very special place but for a very good price (90€ for 2 persons with... More

Excellent food: fillet mignon, artichokes, asparagus, hamburgers, chocolate volcano. Very good service, though a bit slow. Great views of the city wall. Remember to ask for a good table when you make the booking. We will come back

We both ordered filet mignon with truffles. The steaks were of excellent quality but both were cooked incorrectly. Mine was ordered medium rare but came totally rare. My partners was ordered well done but came medium rare. The truffles were non existent. When we asked the head waiter why there were no truffles or even the slightest hint of truffle... More

After a tour of Avila we were sent to this fine dining establishment by a local foodie. To say the least - he did NOT disappoint! We were immediately greeted by a helpful & knowledgeable staff that provided us with some wonderful wine recommendations. The view from our table was super cool as you are right across from the walls... More

My boyfriend and I were in Ávila this past weekend and boy, what a pleasant surprise we had when we chose El Almacén for our last meal in this charming city. The food was outstanding, the service likewise impeccable (very polite without being over the top, friendly, courteous), the wine list looked like a bible (no joke, the best wine... More

This is definitely one of the finest restaurants in which I have ever had the pleasure of dining. It is located outside of the city walls on a hill near the Four Posts overlook. The view of Avila and is stunning. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation wonderful. Our waiter was friendly, efficient and helpful. During our meal... More

I selected this restaurant through Trip Advisor, it was number 3 in the area at the time of this review. We selected it based on its more modern take on traditional food. It definitely met and exceeded our expectations. The food was delightful, the wine list very extensive. Coming from Australia, I was surprised to learn this restaurant is very... More

This is a very nice restaurant but it appears we were taken advantage of as tourists. I had the traditional chuleton de Avila which was not cut from the best part. Local's cuts were better with less tough meat. In addition, our dessert, Volano de Chocolate was over cooked and burnt on the bottom. When I mentioned this both to... More
