Reliable

fair price, decent food, decent quality. It's a meson: hunk of meat, good wine, some nice appetizer to share and standard dessert. Nothing spectacular, but authentically spanish. I like this place

If you want an excellent Chuletón de Ávila not overpriced as in many other touritic restaurants in town, this is the place to choose. Not luxury, not so many alternatives to choose at the menu - but good quality anf fair prices (EUR 40 for two, including one chuleton of 750g and botlle of wine). Don't be afraid if you... More

Enjoyed this plaza restaurant/bar for a beverage and a meal from the "italian" menu options....caprese salad was excellent, pasta average....I ordered a racion of cabrito (stewed)...(OK, not exactly Italian I admit) that was quite flavourful but more bones than meat.....great place to relax and people watch, and would not hesitate to order the caprese salad were we to return.

The Avila region is a meat region... Lamb and sucking pigs are are on almost every menu. And Rastro is most probably one of the better places to test those local specialties sitting on their nice terrace in front of the Avila walls. Be careful : No chance to be served before 9 pm for dinner !

The restaurant was recommended by the hotel El Rastro, but is very disappointing: an unfriendly waitress and a very frigid atmosphere. Two dishes we ordered weren't available (altough on the menu): once since summer last year and one was sold out. The fish my wife ordered was hardly to find on the plate and the bill wasn(t correct: the prices... More
