Get your teeth into the local fare, though the prices might be bloodsucking.

A bit cheesy and they tend to live off the Vlad Dracul/Dracula legend (for a small fee you can visit the room where Vlad was alleged to have been born) though some locals are none too happy with the sort of Hollywood-esque trappings that the tourists crave. Food wise not too bad though they try to... read more

Great atmosphere - family run restaurant on the site of where Vlad Tepes was born with interesting frescoe on restaurant ceiling. Be sure not to miss a visit to the rooms upstairs.

Being in Sighisoara, on our third night out we decided we should try this restaurant. Mistake. Although not at all crowded, the meals were not up to standard. Portions were small and some dishes were cold. The staff were OK, but not really animated. Although eating in the restaurant, with the upstairs room where Vlad the Impaler is reputed to... More

Totally rude staff. After sitting down 3 times and each time we were told they were reserved (no signs), the waiter took us to a table that couldn't have been further from civilisation. And that was AFTER we asked where could we sit??!! After eating the food (nice, but cheaper places are better), we were told to leave because they... More

We had our dinner at the House of Vlad Dracul. The personal is very kind. The food is great. The prices are resonable.

Indeed. Which reduced the available time for a circumnavigation of the old town. For some, having so many menu items referring to 'Dracula' might seem a tad kitsch. However, my colleague spoke to the manager who has been here for 43 years; in fact, since conversion from an old people's home (!); he has been responsible for creating the furniture,... More

We got there right when it opened-- 12pm. As it was a colder day, we both ordered soups, which were a bit more reasonably priced than some of the heavier entrees. Soup was good, service was slow for being one of two tables in there. The atmosphere and environment is the best reason to go!

This restaurant was an amazing culinary experience! My husband and I had the "Dracula's dinner" and we were very happy with our choice! A great selection of food (and A LOT of it - easily enough for 3 or more persons) and quite tasty. The pancake with jam and ice cream dessert was also delicious and they served it on... More
