As we were holidaying in Trivendrum, we decided to treat ourself with dinner at the Terrace @ The leela. The place was quite full but as we pre-booked out table, we got very nice table. Ambiance is very nice though bit on dark side. It has both open air and air conditioned seating arrangement. They have got good salad bar... More

My husband always described me the breath taking views and feel one could experience at The Leela Kovalam whenever he had been at their restaurant 'The Terrace' and that is how we decided to dine out at The Leela this Valentine's when we were at Kerala for our annual vacation. But the whole experience turned out to be very disheartening.... More

Service was excellent .At par with any 5 star hotels.Buffet had a nice salad bar and they had both continental and asian dishes.Poached fish salad was good.Pepper chicken and fish kerala style was also good.Barbecued fish was little bit dry.Lots of varieties for salad, main course and dessert. At the end the dessert temple was little empty , you would think... More

We had a wonderful meal at The Terrace. My brother had a club sandwich, which he liked a lot. The rest of us had a combination of Kerala and North Indian food. We really enjoyed the food, even my grandfather who is a gourmet. The seafood and the Syrian pork were particularly good. We will definitely be back.

We were at the light house beach late in the evening on the 3rd of May. It was around 22:30 and we decided to head for some dinner and then back home to Thiruvanathapuram. Being off season most of the restaurants were closed also there was no lighting , so decided to head to the Leela for dinner. We reached... More

We had been to the Terrace frequently .... Couple of times we chose to sit in the outdoor where the service is quite good .... Recently when we visited, we wanted to try out the indoor restaurant which turned out to be a pretty bad experience .... the service is not up to the standards of a 5 star hotel... More

Admittedly we did'nt stay in the hotel, just had dinner in the pool restauant. It is unbelievable how overprize dinner was though. Although the food itself was very good there cannot be any justification to charge twice as much for a bottle of beer then a perfectly decent restaurant down the road. There are no side dishes like rice or... More

You might feel the wind would blow you away. Extremely windy terrace and Water splashes you all around. A thrilling and breathtaking experience. The sea around has an overpowering presence, its roar blurs every other sound in the backdrop.

I did not stay at The Leela but I did enjoy the best 3 hours in Kovalam over the brunch at The Terrace. Very generous spread especially for Kerala cuisine. The best part was the view from the pool side terrace. The wind was strong; you can see the waves crashing to the yellow sandy beach. I might prefer to... More
