I have visited this restaurant a number of times recently, but they have painted the floor and walls in dark colours and it is very difficult to see if anyone is in the restaurant. Those that have been there have been limited to two or three tables only.

Ate here one evening, nice enough although nothing special and did not return. Nice to sit and take in the view although personally found the upstairs restaurants were more relaxing

We only ate here for lunch but found the food and service good, if I was staying in the lighthouse beach area I would have returned.

This strip feels a bit like Feungirola without the nightclubs or Puerto Banus without the sports cars. Full of Europeans, which is okay, but avoid the dishes which have no prices or state "daily market price" (generally the fish / seafood options) as these tend to cost the same as you would pay in the UK and are pretty average.... We had pakoras & they were delicious but mostly we just sat, soaked up the view & drank refreshing lime soda & beer. Most of the customers seemed known to the staff, who were friendly & helpful. It seemed like a place that people returned to a lot: we went four times in 3 days! And a huge bonus the... More

We ate here on our last evening after having read the reviews. Service was OK, we chose a fresh snapper (fish) from their iced display and had it simply grilled with some garlic and butter. It was great, spanking fresh and tasty. Lobster is available but at £30 per Kg we gave it a miss.

Used this place a couple of times. Great food, great value and super staff, in particular Johnson, really nice guy. Lovely clean toilets and a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Do give it a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Yes indeed, what is the secret of their success? Probably very simple: good fresh fish and sea food, competent and experienced kitchen staff, friendly service, and very fair prices. From an excellent Kingfish fillet, grilled to perfection for 300 rupees to fantastic jumbo prawns for 900 rupees there is truly something for everyone at this first-class fish restaurant. Another important... More

We went to Kingfisher after Reading the great Reviews. We had Crabs Kerala-Style, Prawns Masala-Style, Calamar in Butter and Garlic aswell as some Naan and Kerala-Bread. The Restaurant also offered us some Fries and a tasty fresh salad (which i ate and my stomac hadn't complained so far...). The Food was fresh, excellent, fingerlickin' good and spicy. The prices were... More
