Portions are huge by Asian standards. - it's a dumpling specialty restaurant thus make perfect sense to taste their dumplings offering more than 30 variants. - exotic fish available for feast selection. Saw a sturgeon and some flounders - Mutton served requires acquired taste due to pungent taste

A historical chinese restaurant offering a 10page menu with different types of stuffing ingredients for dumplings. Simply delicious.

Incredible selection of dumplings, and with an English menu so you know what you're asking for. Worth a visit if you're a dumpling lover

I am talking about the one on Nanjin Road. we used go there very often. a busy restaurant and good food. last year, we sensed a change of servcie level and realized that it was the new lady manager - arrogant and no sense of customer service.

I arrive during the lunch time, and the waiters told me it was almost the time to close. It was only 1:15pm, and the sign says the restaurant close at 1:30pm. Can not believe but looks not polite. Finally I ate, but I was really fast .... :-)

This restaurant is located near the shopping hub of Xidan, a short stroll of 20-30mins from the subway station. The establishment itself is large and has a large imposing entrance. For a traditional dumpling place, I was expecting something more quaint and low key. Like many places in China, getting a non smoking seat can take some effort, but in... More

Given the limited time we had in Beijing we researched online and on Dianping.com to find the best place we could find dumplings and Bai Jian Yuan came up tops with the highest reviews from locals. We took the subway here rather than trying to battle with taxi drivers (which seemed to fail everytime we tried to go to a... More
