Ate there three times this trip (our fourth trip). Good food, good soup and salad bar, but they do charge full price for the salad bar even if you get another entree. Clean, with good wait staff. Always went dressed informally, but atmosphere suggests a little more formal. Prices a little higher than expected.

Salad bar includes soup and desert. Eat the soup, all four but leave the bread sticks for someone else. I recommend highly. Pizza looked great too but the soups are all fantastic.

At one time Froso's was a go to place. I went recently and was greatly disappointed. The music was loud and selection was bad. The waitress was preoccupied with talking to a friend and ignored many customers. We were asked "how do you get service around here" by some tourist. The salad bar at one time was really good and... The place is nice and clean inside. My son had a steak and he liked it. I had the veal parm and that doesn't taste like the veal I eat back in new york. It was way too mushy to be veal. It could have been a grounded veal patty. Either way the taste was so so. The salad bar... More

We were hoping that while we spent the summer in Alaska, we'd have the opportunity to enjoy some incredible fish. We found this "sushi restaurant" in Soldotna and decided to give it a shot. It was fantastic. The sushi chef (the only one that works there) is a highly trained expert. Every facet of his sushi is spot-on. The fish... More

Wanted to try some where new and this was it. I had been putting off going here because I thought they sold Greek food- the outside looks Greek and not sure about the name. But I was very surprised to find out no Greek food at all. Regular steakhouse style, pizzas, Mexican food, and they have a really good salad... More

My husband and I went there for a late lunch/early dinner on a weekday late afternoon. The waitress who had worked their for 6 years was totally unfamiliar with the catch of the day (white Salmon, red salmon) and was a general "bone head". If you are ordering a dinner entree (which we both did) at a ridiculously inflated price,... More

I would have given this place a "terrible" rating if not for our outstanding service. Seriously, $150 for some of the worst food I've ever eaten. I'm still angry about it! My friend described the clam chowder as "white gravy with potato chunks in it", which I found to be accurate. I wish we had left after the soup, but... More

Warm and welcoming atmosphere with reasonable prices (for Alaska!) and delicious food. The chef will cook your fresh caught fish for you with adequate notice. Froso's has a full salad bar and soup selections as well as Daily Specials. From crablegs to gyros, you will find something that piques your appetite and fits your pocketbook. Casual dress. Fishermen are welcome.... More
