We came at 1 pm on a Sunday in August. The place was crowded with locals and was recommended to us by a local. We looked non-local, and it took a long, long time for the menus, and then the food, to arrive (an hour, total). But when it came, the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

We wandered in this place on the recommendation from the clerk at the Palmer Information Center for brunch before heading to Anchorage for the day. No one greeted us and the place was dirty. We took a booth with a filthy window. We got a trainee waitress who was good but the trainer was questionable. We got a dose of... More

Big menu and the food is fast. It's a tasty diner with large portions. Better service in the bar than the restaurant, typically.

We arrived late in Anchorage and were driving to Denali Park when we stopped by in Palmer for dinner. The cafe is in a hotel and there is also a small store inside. This place has a big menu with lots of choices. We liked the smaller sized pizzas and salads. The breakfast was also very good. The place was... More

We stopped by for lunch about 2 PM. Wasn't busy but it took a long time for the waitress to bring the menus, a long time for the food to arrive, and a long time waiting for the check. I ordered chicken friend steak with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies but it arrived with fries and green beans. Not very... More

A wonderful reprieve from high prices This is a great café to help get away from the high prices of Alaska cuisine. Lots of comfort food and a very helpful wait staff.

This is an adorable place to have a meal. It's attached to a hotel. The staff was wonderful and gave us good menu recommendations. Our meal was delicious. Palmer is a cute town . Every was nice and helpful. We would recommend.

I wouldn't call the food fantastic but the portions are good sized and food tasty. It is a gathering place for many town residents so I always see someone I know. Being a small town, the wait staff pretty much know what you want and will recommend specials they know you'll like.

We just stopped here as we were traveling through to Denali and we were so pleased that we did. We had a great waitress, Marie, who though originally from the South, was proud to be an Alaskan and offered us very helpful travel information and tips. We both had the fish & chips which were excellent and split a piece... More
