Powerhouse is one of the best Sushi Restaurant in the United States due to great sushi chief Tommy San, great service, greatest scenic view and excellent seafood selections. You can just visit Kodiak to stop by eating fresh sushi at Powerhouse and Greek dinner at Sparrow's and feel great about your life. Arigato Powerhouse :)

Kodiak doesn't have a lot of restaurants, but this is one of the better places you will find. The sushi is excellent, typical of what you'd find in a larger city in the lower 48. The regular menu has some fantastic dishes. There is even a kid's menu with some excellent choices. Service is very good, wine list is sufficient... More

I enjoyed my meal here. They have a wide menu with good lunch specials. I was pleasantly surprised to get sushi of this quality here in Kodiak. This is a great sushi place for a small town. Usually the better ones are in larger cities.

The sushi is pretty good and affordable compared to everything else on the island. Haven't tried the regular menu though, but have had some of the apps that have been good. Gets busy on Friday nights and the weekends. The pieces are a bit gigantic for the signature rolls, and hard to maneuver in one bite...but I still try.

we very often ate in this restaurant. Its situated on the channel of Kodiak. The restaurant is built with wood and its a charming place. Better to make a reservation in advance.

Well, they have a great location as far as a view if you get one of the few window seats. The food was quite good. However, the service was awful. The other clientele left quite a bit to be desired also.

Good place... we had a reservation and requested a table by the window which was amazing, enjoyed the view of the water, the birds in the water floating backwards, 2 otters playing, and a couple fishing boats heading out to sea. Sushi seamed to be very popular, but we opted for the salmon, which was very good.

Large menu, fresh fish, nice atmosphere and good service. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely worth the tab.

Probably the best restaurant in Kodiak, great lunch & dinner menu, make reservations because it's usually very busy. Overlooks the channel, so you can watch the fishing boats come & go.

We go fishing in Kodiak every 4 years and make the Old Powerhouse Restaurant a dinner destination each time !! This place sits on the exit / entry way to the harbor and a window seat is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy all the fishing boats coming and going. There is a outdoor seating area here, but we...
