We enjoyed a delicious early morning breakfast here, as soon as we got off our cruise ship, many locals were dining here as well. Very friendly service, excellent choices for breakfast, many coffee variations, an overall excellent experience. The prices are a little high, but this is to be expected in these Alaska ports. When passing by here later in... More

The food was delicious and freshly made as soon as we ordered. We all tried the Merburger, their soup of the day and a salmon bagel. Though we didn't order from the bakery, the desserts also looked amazing! We wish we had more time to spend there while we were in port in Ketchikan, but the lunch was a great... More

Quant little place for homemade soups, sandwiches and sweets. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Popular with locals and tourists so gets crowded at lunch. Nice for something hearty or light!

My daughter and I stopped in to sit and get some Wifi after walking around Ketchikan. The cupcakes were so good and they have this older man that sings on his guitar. He was very entertaining. The Wifi is expensive but it is a great place to sit and relax. The girls working the counter were very friendly and sweet.... More

A very expensive place, the products are not that good for the price, even if you buy a lot, you have to pay $5 for 1 hour of WiFi. And they have a pile of newspaper in the entry with a signboard on top that says: "If you touch it, you buy it" What a bad taste!!! And you will... More

Good sit-down place for coffee if you want to hang out for a bit. I got a breve with coconut flavor added and it was perfect. I also tried their coconut cream pie and it was pretty standard but good (and a nice portion size). They serve breakfast but I did not try those offerings.

My wife and I split a the Merman breakfast burrito before going on seaplane tour. It was the perfect size for splitting. The eggs were perfectly scrambled and it had just the right proportions of other ingredients. Service was outstanding and everyone was polite. I'll definitely be stopping in again on future visits.

Here you could be in Seattle or Portland. Spacious, light, good choices, excellent coffee, limited but very good breakfast choices. Now as for an upfront $5, 1-hr wi fi charge... get real Mermaids. Across from Cruise ships near Gilmore hotel.

My family and I took a fun little break from hiking and exploring Ketchikan to grab some coffee and a snack from Sweet Mermaids. We'd heard great things and weren't disappointed. The staff was very friendly, and the coffee and food were great! We didn't eat lunch or breakfast there, but the menu looked awesome.

Sweet Mermaids is a very busy place mid-morning, but the staff is friendly and efficient. The short wait in line is worth it! The coffee is excellent, and we also recommend the Flat Mermaid: a folded flour tortilla containing scrambled eggs, cheese, and grilled vegetables with sour cream, salsa, and a fruit cup on the side. For us, the 12-inch... More
