Okay, when everyone kept saying you have to get some Ketchicandies I wasn't all that interested. But we did end up picking up some fudge and several of the chocolate covered oreos. OMG, they were fantastic! Really glad we stopped by!

Worth a stop in what is otherwise a painfully tourist-driven town center. If you want to escape the overpriced gift shops, the stores selling whale-themed jewelry, and the "authentic native art" shops, this is a good bet. The peppermint patties were particularly delicious!

I felt my hips expanding as I looked round, but after some tasting decided on a mixed box. A little expensive, but well worth it. Try the chocolate gummy bears.

If you have a sweet tooth, this place if for you! You can choose from so many different candies that are being made right in front of you. The cost is a little high for sweets, but well worth it.

Ketchikan Candies is a small chocolate shop that delivers some very good candy. To be fair, this place felt identical to other local chocolate shops in Skagway and Juneau- there really isn't much to differentiate it, and these small chocolate shops mostly sell the same things. I will say that this place had the largest selection of chocolate-dipped Oreos that... More

We were walking around the downtown area and when I walked by their open door, I couldn't help but walk in. That is how they get you! But seriously, we purchased some chocolate peanut butter fudge, and it was delightful. Not too sugary, and tasted almost like a Reese's. I love peanut butter, so it was a nice treat. Lots... More

Read about this in a guidebook and had to stop for a mid-morning snack & coffee. It smelled so good in there it was hard to decide, but I had my taste buds set on these . . . Yum!

That is the bad part about Ketchicandies, they disappear so fast when you get home. We have a few salted caramel cookies left, but will go there again when we have our third trip to Alaska. People are very nice there, and, as always, the only limit is what you can carry home. This is so good!

You will need to be strong to resist being tempted inside this store where you can watch first hand, the making of these handcrafted chocolates and candies. Hugh selection of bagged and boxed biscuits, chocolates, candies, jellies etc to buy. Not cheap, but we decided on a small 8oz box of KetchiCandies at around $10. The assistant opened it so... More
