Fresh seafood with lovely harbour views - ask for a table next to the window

From the trip up the funicular to the spectacular habour views, and good food, this place is worth a visit. We started with devils on horseback - scallops wrapped in baconand then tasted our first dungess crab - lovely!

Absolutely loved this restaurant. A short ride on the funicular from Creek Street ($2. pp for a 24 hr ticket) takes you up to the Lodge and the restaurant. We expected a high price restaurant, but it was very comparable to every other place in town. We ended up eating there several times over our stay, and did not have... More

I had a visit here again this month and I was impressed. The Menu has changed a lot over the last year for the better. I must say the Chefs bacon wrapped prawns are the best I have ever eaten. The dessert was amazing and the atmosphere was a vast improvement. I will be back again for sure.

Wow, what a great time we had eating at the Cape Fox Lodge/restaurant. My wife and I ate 3 breakfast and 3 evening meals at the Fox. When in a sea side community I eat seafood and they do it right. I love chowder, baked and broiled fish and other seafood delights. After tasting a prawns/shrimp appetizer, I forget the... More

On a whim, we took the trolley up the hillside to the Cape Fox Lodge. While there, while we had our fantastic breakfast, we saw the majestic Bald Eagle. The Lodge was very clean, the food was fantastic, and the help was outstanding. The Salmon Eggs Benedict were fantastic, btw!

A funicular lifts you up from the famous Creek Street area of Ketchikan up to this nicely maintained lodge with commanding views of Ketchikan and the port and cruise ships. A small fee allows for roundtrip on the funicular, which runs very few minutes, and by itself is enough. But the Lodge has fresh coffee for sale and a decent... More

Beautiful view and delicious breakfast! Definitely a must-see. The totems outside are beautiful and the artifacts indoors are awesome! We only ate breakfast here so can't comment on any other meals or the lodging. May have to check those out on our next trip.

We wanted to eat King Crab while in Alaska. Saw Cape Fox's menu for the Bucket! One pound of Dungeness Crab, one pound of clams, one pound of mussels, reindeer sausage and red potatoes; served with hot butter; $89. There were four of us, we ordered two and it was the perfect amount of food, very tasty, we look forward... More

The motel is perched above the township and you can follow a couple of walking trails to it or for $2 you can ride in the cable car. Viewing and photographic opportunities are limited but there are a couple of totem poles that are interesting. Didn't stay in the motel but went there for the views

Auscoach Thank you for your review we love that people let is share our heritage with them when they visit our lodge. We do have amazing views and the totems outside are great for that Kodak moment. I hope you also had a chance to tour the museum on the second floor, it is truly amazing! More
