The only place I visited in the USA where I really objected to the expected practice of tipping. Non-existent service coupled with ordinary food - truly, I had to ask my family what we ate because all that stuck in our minds was how bad it was.

The server made a recommendation on their halibut. It was a great recommendation. The food had a great taste. The server was engaging. It was the best food experience I had while I was in Ketchikan

Food was very good but the service was a little slow. Portions were very large. Prices were high but all food comes by barge and transportation costs are very high.

We were a group of 15 people en route to Steamboat Bay for some fishing and spent the night at the lodge. We made reservations for dinner more that 5 months prior to our arrival for 6:00pm (which is when they first open). Our request for window seating was honored. The restaurant is quaint and comfortable. Great menu selections although... More

The hotel is nice. smaller bathrooms but not a big deal. My main complaint that knocked off 2 stars is the customer service! The ONLY decent customer service was from Dakota in the bar. The front desk lady was extremely rude and even ignored another guest while we we're checking in and made us feel pretty unwelcome. The next morning... More

So this is what I would consider a fancy dinner in Ketchikan. Cute tram ride up to restaurant, beautiful views and nice location. Food was ok, service was ok. Waiter Micheal looked very sloppy, his shirt had stains and wasn't a tucked in. But the restaurant is probably the best in this city.

Setting is very good, used our gps to find it. You can take the tram from town but we had a car so drove up the hill. Food was good, wine list limited. Good spot for dinner, especially considering how few choices there are in this town and on a Monday night to boot.

We went up by taxi (as the funicular did not appeal to us) for the view and it did not disappoint. There are some interesting totem poles outside the entrance and a great place for a photos. The lodge seemed peaceful and quaint. Although we did not eat in the restaurant, the menu looked great and the harbor and city... More

Cape Fox is not an option for people with asthma or people who are sensitive to smoke. They allow smoking in the restaurant! Because of this, I have to give them 2 stars. The smoke really detracts from the upscale atmosphere and good food. They have a "smoking" and a "non-smoking" area, but they are right next to each other... More
