Cape Fox Lodge is one of my two favorite places. I stay there every year for business, as well as to visit family and friends, who also there on business. The service in both the guest rooms and the restaurant has been consistently very good, and I plan to return as often as I'm able to. I love the display... More

Our tour group stopped her for lunch and everyone was delighted with their food choices. Hubby had halibut tacos, which he devoured. I enjoyed "The Bear"--and artful combination of smoked salmon, red onions, capers, and cream cheese on thin-sliced wheat bread, with a raspberry yogurt dressing on the side. Delish! And--we shared a dessert called the "Banana Dream." wish I... More

Don't miss this. Great view of the river and shops. We had breakfast which was good and lots of it. Be sure to go to the hotel part and look at the small museum about the Council of the Clans of Native Alaskan Clans on the 2nd floor and then go outside to see the totems. The cost of the... More

A restaurant with a commanding view and the best beer-battered halibut. The fish and chips were so hot when the waiter placed them on the table I could feel the heat wave radiating back at me. He said the halibut they serve is always fresh, never frozen. It was simple and outstanding all at the same moment.

After taking the Funicular from Creek Street ($2) to the hotel you are greeted by wonderful views of the harbor. Outside the front door are some small totem poles but the real purpose of our visit was the restaurant for lunch. The food was excellent. We had fish chowder which was thick and had plenty of fish in it. It... More

Tram ride up the hill was a nice touch & the views were spectacular. Seated immediately. After almost 2 weeks in Alaska we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the prices were. Food was delicious & server was attentive.

I had read about this in Frommer's book on Alaska ports of call so we tried it as a place to relax and I'm so glad we did. First of all, the tram ride was fun. Good views of Ketchikan. We were seated quickly because we were there a little before the noon rush. Meal was good and we had... More

We ate here several times and our favorite meal was breakfast! The service was good to great, depending on your server but most were really friendly and accommodating. The food was good for the most part but this is not a fancy restaurant with progressive food. Good basic eats.

Far and away the best place to stay in Ketchikan. The food is great here, rooms are average and service was good. Lodge provides a tram car to ride down into the city.
