We were so excited to hear that "The Fish House" would be open year 'round. Their fish and chips is beyond compare. The halibut is so moist and flaky it melts in your mouth. Add the delicious seasoned fries paired with fresh, piquant vinegar and lime coleslaw and you have a fantastic meal. We also... read more

Glad that the Fish House has opened up for the winter hours serving their new Breakfast and Lunch menu items! I had the fish tacos (1 salmon 1 halibut - both fried) for the opening day and the Frybread breakfast with berry Compote. Both were excellent and reasonably priced, as well as good portions. The new design is excellent too,... More

This was a great fish shack. Wonderful lunch fare. We enjoyed the halibut and salmon baskets. Ample seating. Service was good.

The line can get quite long here, particularly if a ship comes in, but it usually moves fairly fast. The chowder is perfect. Sitting in the dining area overlooking the harbor is a good memory.

6 of us had a wonderful lunch here on our Port day in September. The food was excellent. My wife had the halibut Taco's which were amazing. Glad she let me try some. I had the Smoked Clam Chowder which was equally as good. My father in law had fish and chips which he enjoyed. This place is highly recommended.

I was slightly disappointed with my experience. I purchased the fried halibut sticks/tenders. For the price, I was expecting more. The fish lacked flavor; a little salt and pepper can go a long way. I don't think the fish was seasoned at all. The french fries were great; but for what I paid - I wanted the fish to be... More

It was a chilly day with on and off rain, plus I was hungry. So I went for it - the large cup of smoked salmon chowder with smoked salmon cornbread. It was very filling - almost too much! But it was so good, I ate every drop of chowder and every crumb of that amazing cornbread. I've never even... More

I ordered a blackened salmon taco and a blackened halibut taco. The salmon was the tastier of the two; however, the seasoning overpowered the flavor of the fish. My husband enjoyed his big cup of chowder. As with the rest of Ketchikan, the people (staff) here were very friendly and helpful.
