The location is great, being able to look out on the canal while eating is really nice. The fish and chips are about all I ever eat there, and they are fantastic. Service can be a little slow sometimes, but it's one of our go-to restaurants.

The seafood was good and fresh. Although the place was packed the service was fast and the priced right. Its not your fine dining, but if you want good seafood, great views and service. This is the place to visit, and when you're done you can go shopping in the mall!

The Hangar on the Wharf has location/location/location, but more like fast-food than the premium price you pay.

I ate here in November as backup as my favorite place (Twisted Fish) was closed for the season. Location/Restaurant: It is located on the central Juneau waterfront over looking Gastineau Channel and within easy walking distance from all downtown hotels. The Hanger is inside the Wharf Mall so access is from Marine Way. Once you enter, you have a choice... More

The wait staff was hustling! It was a Friday night during happy hour, and the place was packed. I stayed slightly longer than most, though nobody seemed in a rush to leave; there was never an empty seat while I was present. The food was a bit pricey, but the portions were large and the food was well prepared. In... More

Juneau is limited to good eating options, especially during the winter. So my husband and I decided to eat here after 3 other places that had good reviews were found to only operate until September and we were not disappointed. The portions were a good size and the service prompt and friendly. We had the portabella fries, coconut prawns, a... More

Yes it's primarily a tavern on the wharf but the food is well above that of most taverns that I have been in. Great Alaskan air theme, comfortable seating and good service. Its a great place to just hang out, enjoy the day and watch the bush pilots take off and land and the cruise ships embark and disembark. I... More

As soon as the cruise ships depart, the Hangar on the Wharf is a premium location for social gatherings.

had the coconut shrimp which was good, and a grilled Salmon that was perfectly cooked. The food was very good, but on the simple side with the side dishes... If you are looking for simple good fare with a good beer selection: highly recommended.

They have a dish literally called "very good meatloaf" that lives up to the name. The haddock basket gives you four huge haddock filets with steak fries. Everything is tasty and I recommend!
