Went here as part of the Bike & Brew tour off our cruise. Sampled a great selection of Alaska Brewing Company beers. Located right on the dock next to the floatplanes.
Hangar on the Wharf has a large and varied menu with some items available only during the tourist season. The service and food are always dependably good and consistent. Nice views of the channel and a full bar.
I love this restaurant. I am able to go at lunch time and be served excellent food and eat within an hour lunch break... There are many dishes that are amoung my favorites, but have to say that the wedge salad with King Crab is one of the best! Also a great deal! The view looks over the channel and... More
It's not really a taco - it's a burrito. But it's delicious, whatever they call it. The server was very friendly, and the restaurant has a lot of great flight decor. The view is a plus. We would definitely return if we find ourselves in Juneau again.
So you have to go to Juneau if not for the wonderful scenery and whale watching, but to at least have HALIBUT fish and chips and the local beer on tap at Hangar On The Wharf! Ask for a booth right by the window, so you can see the sea planes landing right outside... yes the word you're looking for... More
I have had fish and chips and chowder all over the world and this is one of the best. The breading was just right , very light yet very tasty. The Salmon chowder was spectacular and was seasoned just right , not to salty with a little bite to it. It rivals anything served in San Francisco. It is a... More
Had dinner here. It is very popular and busy but we were lucky and got a place in the bar. Food is very good. We both had seafood sandwiches and the view of the harbor is great. You can watch the float planes taking off and landing.
The Hangar is always great for views, brews and halibut. I always get the tempura halibut and it's always great. This year it was outstanding. So fresh, cooked perfectly and a huge portion for your money. Nice service as well, same people have been there a long time.
We stopped in while in town for a day to get a bite to eat. The gluten free pasta dish far exceeded my expectations. Gluten free pasta usually is average. If you sit by the window you'll get a nice view of the water and the sea planes taking off. The service was wonderful too! We will definitely be visiting... More
