We did not eat at this venue, just walked inside to take a picture or two and stopped at the merchandise store. Actually our bus driver told us not to eat there but it was quite busy. Seems to be a highlight in Juneau when you come off a cruise ship.

Food was great and the country singer playing the guitar was a lot of fun. Love the old time feel of the place.

My group walked by the place the moment our cruise ship docked and it was packed! We came back 5 hours later after our shore excursion and it wasn't so bad. There were some open tables, live music but still quite a bit of a crowd. We were there mainly for drinks so I can't really write about the food.... More

Enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was good, service was great. Yes, it was crowed but it was well organized chaos. Old time saloon atmosphere.

The Red Dog Saloon lives up to its image of a true Alaskan country spirit, complete with the atmosphere, the music the food and the people. The place is done up really well and as you enter you start feeling the pulse. It is a great throwback to the yesteryears of America with swinging doors and and live country music... More

It was crowded with cruise ship patrons. The prices were high and the food was not very good. We ordered the crab cakes as a main dish and they were two tiny, greasy disks. The staff were very busy and that meant that service was incredibly slow. The piano player kept making jokes that were not funny and most of... More

Bar was packed when we got there--two cruise ships in port--but the upstairs wasn't as crowded. Great service--we had a very personable waitress who we got to laugh with when a family with small children came in, heard the 'adult' lyrics of the entertainer, and quickly left the restaurant in a bit of a huff, despite being warned at the... Didn't eat here, came from a cruise ship. But, the drinks were great and very well priced. Even if you just step inside its worth it. The piano player was really entertaining. I would make this a place to sit down enjoy a drink, music and all that goes on there!!!

The wild west for the 21st century in downtown Juneau. Great atmosphere and décor and a good selection of food and drink. What more could you want?

This is a fun (albeit quite busy and crowded) bar. We were tired and just stopped in to relax and have a (delicious) beer and ended up staying for almost an hour listening to the humorous and quite good country singer who got the audience involved in singing refrains and just looking around at all the funny and interesting things...
