Jean and I had dinner here as part of a "shore excursion" on our cruise from Seward to Vancouver. The salmon was cooked over an alderwood fire and served on picnic tables outdoors. VERY tasty and the good weather definitely contributed to the experience. While most people did not take the optional trail to the falls, it was well worth... More

After our gold panning, we went to the salmon bake in Skagwag. They did have plenty of food. You could have salmon and/or chicken. We all got salmon and it was very good. They did have plenty sides including baked beans, corn, coleslaw and macaroni salad. Had a good time.

A heck of a lot of fun, I love this sort of thing! As much as I love haute cuisine, there is a place in my heart for this sort of venue. A greeter dressed in an 1890s tavern-ish costume, all set outside, great smells of salmon being grilled right before your eyes on open flames, picnic tables under open-walled... More

It was an outdoor setting with music, open fire salmon bake, great chowder, and of course the dessert. Don't forget to roast marshmallows over a campfire. Walking around the salmon creek waterfall is a plus.

Riding a yellow and blue bus, which supposedly represent the colors of the Alaskan flag, should have been my first warning. Pulling into a parking lot in a warehouse/industrial area should have been the red flag warning - beware!!!! The food was terrible - not hot, bland, and not appealing. The fish was freshly cooked and hot but bone dry... More

My family and I enjoyed the salmon bake during our recent Alaskan cruise. The food was outstanding and everyone at the bake was pleasant, welcoming, and downright nice. I can honestly say that the meal we enjoyed was one of the best I've ever eaten and highly recommend it to anyone. The meal was part of our sightseeing tour so... More

Tomy and the gang took such good care of us. The food was awesome, the salmon is literally going to be the best you've ever had. They have to drive you there on a bus, we got the yellow Salmon school bus, it was like a funny adventure. And it's all you can eat, we had like 10 pieces and... More

I live here in Juneau, and I have always wanted to try the “ The Salmon Bake “ and once I got to try it, at first I thought that it was pretty good, I mean the food was OK at best, the size of salmon I got was not hug, and I can overlook that, for me I thought... More

We took a tour while in Juneau that ended with dinner at the Gold Creek Salmon Bake. We thought the place was charming.....in spite of the rainy drizzle.....it was clean and spread out, really made us feel like we were at a campout. The people there could not have been more welcoming or friendly. The clam chowder was outstanding....very hot... More
