We eat here often. It is a great place to eat. A word of caution. It is a small place with a very small waiting area. If you do not get there at 5:30 pm, you may have to wait outside. The food and the very nice people are worth the wait. It is not visually impressive, so someone from... more

If you're already out toward Auke Bay, it's worth a stop in. The food is pretty basic and alright, although I would skip the pad thai and go for the Tom Yom soup. Much more authentic tasting. more

Sept 12, 2006. Decided to check out Chan's while in Juneau for business. We got there a bit after 5pm on a Tues(they are closed Sun and Mon) and there were a few tables open in the small restaurant. Although for those staying downtown it would be out of the way Chan's is considered the best resturant in Juneau by us locals. Located in Auke Bay on the city bus route Chan's is a family run resturant with little atmosphere but freshly prepared amazing food. Expect to wait in line and they do not take reservations.
