I keep going back here hoping it will get better... Everytime I have gone in, even just for a coffee and bagel - it takes atleast 20 minutes for the order to come out. The salads and sandwiches are great, but each time I go in there, the people working seem less than pleased to be there. Today I went... More

Was a bit disappointed in Silverbow bakery. I sat on the counter side, and the table was sticky and not too appealing. They have outside seating here and I can imagine in the summer, sitting outside with decent baked goods would be a whole different experience. As for a winter escape it was a bit depressing. Coffee was decent, bagel... More

They have great tea, wonderful breakfast sandwiches and the best cookies! Love this place! When you stay at the Silver Bow you get a free breakfast coupon at the bakery - a wonderful local stop!

A more appropriate title for this establishment would be "Silverbow Café". My experience was rather lackluster. I was referred by a coworker who said it was a great bakery. They had some sweets like giant cookies, lots of bagels and loaves of bread; including challah which I love. However, I think bagels are baked by those without a passion for... More

I am so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your visit with us! Did you take the time to chat with a manager about your less than awesome experience? I would have loved to have helped you. Though we occasionally have some kinks to work out, the staff at the Silverbow tries hard to be friendly and helpful... More

The veggie cream cheese is to die for--- but I just loved the cashier!! Erin was a total sweetheart and even gave me a hug. Our food was delicious and fast, and it was an awesome hang out place. Definitely going back. :)

The food is great, thats why I go there. The service is in need of good revising, or instruction. But its worth it for the price and quality of food. If they would let me, I would re-varnish their tables. someone in juneau thinks the old un-kept look is "in". Like the Alaskan Hotel. Wifi, if you ask for the... More

Thanks for taking the time to comment. The tables are pretty old. The bakery has been operating for over a hundred years. Cool. More

It was dirty, the dining area was dark and scary. You are better off ordering at the counter and take your food to a table. Like self serve yourself. Have not been back.

Sounds like you had a pretty horrible experience at the Silverbow. I'm very sorry about that, Did you take the time to speak to a manager about your visit? Juneau is a thriving tourist port and the capital of Alaska. Though the tourists come and go, I live here and am a regular customer at the Silverbow Bakery -- it is my top choice for bagels and coffee in downtown Juneau Alaska The warm family feeling comes from the people that work there. People such as Tracy, Joe, Elsa,... More

The employees usually act as if they've just gotten stoned and can't handle multiple items being ordered at the same time. You end up repeating every item, one at a time. "Egg bagel, toasted with butter and a 16oz drip coffee" "What kind of bagel?" "Egg" "Toasted?" "Yes, with butter" "Oh, ok. Want a drink?" *FACEPALM* The food is decent.... More

I dined at the Silverbow several times during our recent trip to Juneau - I enjoyed everything I ate there, and would highly recommend it to anyone passing through Juneau on a rainy day. Everyone in my party (all Texans) appreciated the quaint atmosphere. On our second trip, we were greeted by a friendly young employee with a hip haircut... More
