Put a bird on it.

Eating at the Rookery is always an experience. The food is a work of art and is complimented by the local art on the walls. The atmosphere is always lively and the staff are pleasantly enthusiastic. If I had to complain about one thing it will be the saltiness of their bacon burger. It is... read more

The prices are fine-dining style, but the food is served in funky dishes and just isn't very good. I enjoyed the roast brussel sprouts last time, until I found a hair in it. The waiter wasn't apologetic or even very concerned. Ew.

Simple, fresh-ingredient based fare with fresh been on tap. Can't beat it. Limited menu but very good for what they focus on--sandwiches, salads, soups and burgers. Seating is at shared tables. Within walking distance of the waterfront and based in downtown Juneau, Alaska. Don't take yourself too seriously if you take advantage of this spot for good, old fashioned comfort... More

Had dinner here with a large group and they accommodated us very well. Service was prompt despite the many orders and special requests. Cost for value was reasonable. Best were the range of option - lots of creative and interesting dishes I've never seen elsewhere, including some that are only for adventurous foodies, but also a few standards like Caesar... More

I've eaten here twice, both times were great. Service was quick attentive and friendly. Food is great and different as well. Pretty good wine by the glass choices for a small town. I will definitely go back.

Loved this place. Super busy, had to wait a little bit for a table but it was totally worth it. They were out of the scallop app I ordered, but had the ham board (with coffee-infused mustard, whaaaat? Delicious beyond belief), fondue, and beet salad. Everything was amazing. Wine list needs some love, and I HATE the stupid little wine... More

I love grabbing lunch or dinner at this coffee shop. Every other time we go downtown we end up eating here because it's that good. This isn't your typical coffee shop food. Everything is made to such high quality. It's clear that the owner Loves to cook to take such care in everything they make. It's hard to say if... More

I have loved the Rookery for many years as a Cafe and always stop in whenever I am in Juneau, and now to find out that they are open for dinner at night! Their appetizers are fabulous, salads divine and deserts large enough to share! I love this place, and oh yea, the wine is great too as are the... More

My coworkers and I were in Juneau for some training and had a group dinner here. The service was excellent even though we were a large party. Everyone enjoyed their food and said they wood eat here again. I'm a vegetarian so I had a spinach salad and the mac and cheese. Very good food.
