On the recommendation of our Whales, Glaciers, & Rainforest Trails tour guide, Clayton, we went to The Rookery for a quick bite and coffee. The lattes were excellent and the cupcakes were divine. The cake part had a moist, flavorful crumb. The icing was light and creamy, not the heavy, overly sweet stuff most places pile on top. We got... More

typically the food in Juneau is not that good - Overpriced and bland but the 2am hamburger had a great taste. The service was a bit rough as they took our forks from the appetizer and set them on our table. Not the cleanest move. As more people came in it was harder to hear. There is a long table... More

This restaurant isn't fancy looking, so I wasn't sure if it would live up to the hype. I was amazed. We both had the ramen with duck. Oh my. It was so incredibly delicious. A welcome diversion from cruise ship food. Yum. It's a bit expensive, but if you're pinching pennies, you can eat on your ship. This meal was... More

Food was decent. Service was fine prices were crazy. Eight dollar small bowl of soup made me annoyed! Lunch for two shouldn't be $46 bucks, and if it is you should leave full!

Customer service was horrible. We weren't locals, but we weren't annoying tourists either. Staff treated us like a nuisance when they recognized our presence at all. High prices for little flavor. Bread was clearly not store-bought, but had no flavor to it. I had the turkey sandwich, and my husband had the cubano - neither had flavor.

Reservation made for 3 people. Restaurant called to confirm. Promptly seated. Good service. Noisy environment. Food quality , taste and presentation were excellent. Tiny portions limited menu. No children's menu, no booster seats. Not child friendly. Overall average rating.

We were able to make reservations for this restaurant on line which made me like it right up front! It had been recommended by friends who used to live in Juneau and they weren't wrong. I had the burger and as I've said in my former reviews-I am a burger snob. This was delicious. It was ground chuck with a... More

Eating at the Rookery is like an a good R.Kelly song - hard to find, but when you do it entices you, takes you away, and makes you fall in love. But really... The Rookery is THE spot to go for dinner if you're up for something different, dynamic, and fresh. Wine and beer selection is always on point and... More

The prices are fine-dining style, but the food is served in funky dishes and just isn't very good. I enjoyed the roast brussel sprouts last time, until I found a hair in it. The waiter wasn't apologetic or even very concerned. Ew.
