Truth be told we came in for the wi-fi, but got GRRReat coffee and friendly service as well. It was a Sunday, after 17:00, which was quittin' time for other places. It's off the main street, but only slightly. A great find and one of the best and strongest cups of espresso this side of Italy. While we didn't eat... More

At the recommendation of our tour guide Van of Gastineau Guides, we visited recently while walking around in Juneau. Simply the best meal we had in the last week of travel. Our extended family of six enjoyed the Cuban, BLT, halibut and a cheeseburger. Each meal was phenomenal! The service was straight forward but attentive. Finally, the desserts were not... More

We only had coffee and a pastry but they were delightful. The place is clean, and very well kept. It was very busy with the local people but it was the Trip Advisor sign that caught my eye. If others had said it was good, it must be! and it was.

Interesting, unique menu ( if you are there in May get the deep fried beer batter devil's club buds)--good service, good food, interesting ambience. Small place so can be hard to seat a large group for dinner...but Juneau doesn not have the fineset dining and this is one of the best!

I had the planked salmon with maple glaze. My husband had the Korean bibimbap. Both were excellent. What made the experience stand out, however, was the service. Catherine is amazing--knowledgeable, friendly, and always available when needed. Mornings they have coffee and their excellent house-made pastries. Absolutely one of the best places in town.

My wife and I ate lunch here during our port day on the recommendation of our shuttle driver. It is a short walk from the main tourist area and popular with the locals. She had the buttermilk cod sandwich and I got the blackened cod sandwich. Both were good but the blackened was better. The food was fresh, fast and... More

I always look for small local businesses to support when I travel. The Rookery is just such a place... Cozy, old school atmosphere, personal service, great coffee and tempting treats. Great location in the heart of the waterfront district! Check it out

Loved this cute little bistro! I've only had their lunch, but went back two days in a row because it was so good. It's definitely small, and can get quite busy, but has a fun atmosphere. My friends and I had no problem enjoying an excellent meal and having girl time-I will be dining again their before my trip concludes.

We actually came here several times during our visit to Juneau. We went to Heritage first but liked this place better. They serve stumptown coffee. I like the iced vanilla latte. My mom usually gets a mocha but doesn't like too much chocolate. Interesting to note, it seems like the coffee shops in Alaska make their mochas with chocolate milk... More

Okay, I know that going to Alaska means you will be surrounded by meat and fish. Yet sometimes I still want to eat a little more lightly and I haven't eaten red meat in years. So, I asked our guide where she would recommend and she turned us onto the best little place! It looks like a cafe, but has... More
