This is one of those restaurants where you hesitate to write a review. Not because they don't deserve a five star review but because you're afraid if you let out the secret you'll never be able to get in. On my trip to Juneau I ate lunch here twice and breakfast once. Simply amazing! I loved everything about the menu.... More

I thought the menu had very little to choose from and the food was nothing special. The lunch menu was mostly sandwiches and the breakfast menu did not look all that special either. I had the bison burger, it was good but nothing special. Not sure why this place is so highly rated?

Huge portions make this a typical and loved American diner. Sitting on the tables with direct view of the restroom takes away from the good eating experience, however. Servers are always pleasant as long as you don't arrive a few minutes before they have to close.

The food was really good. I would have given a excellent rating . . The place is nice and clean, but really - did they have to mop while we were eating? The mop water had bleach in it so it was kinda strong and hard not ignore. Not to mention it was just a wee bit rude right? I... More

I don't know how many tourists come here -- it definitely seemed like a place Juneau locals frequent, for good reason. We managed to beat the rush, which was lucky as there was a substantial line to get in when we left. Portions are HUGE, all is made fresh. Service was good. So many menu choices that it was hard... I was staying at the Driftwood-this place was right there-tried it first for breakfast-they offered grilled vegs as a substitute for potatoes (to go with my eggs and sourdough toast)-never saw that before-they were excellent-all was very fresh-big glass of real OJ they called "small". Had lunch a couple of days later- big salad with chevre. Very nice, friendly service... More

Had a wonderful breakfast. Unusually good food for Juneau. Great menu, good food. Only problem was getting my coffee refilled.

Many choices all delicious. The specials on the board all looked as did all on the menu. Very busy we went on a Sunday got there early and got right in, by. The time we left there were plenty waiting to get in. Worth the wait.

We were told this was the best breakfast in Juneau. Both my wife and I were very happy with our meals. The cafe has a quaint feel like a New England setting. The scramble was very good, though a bit greasy. The stuffed french toast was phenomenal.

We came across this cafe when we were staying next door and we were so glad we did. It's off the normal tourist strip but so well worth the short walk to find it. There was already a significant list of people in the know waiting for a breakfast table. The service, food and coffee were excellent. Don't miss it!
