This was an epiphany. I have never had halibut this fresh; so much so that it actually eclipsed my favorite which was also in the sampler, wild caught salmon. I do a lot of halibut at home, and I'm good at it, but this fresh-caught fish along with the best scallops and king crab, as well as a superb salmon... More

This is THE place we go when we want great seafood! Perfectly cooked, whether we order grilled or fried. The halibut and salmon combo are my favorite, but the fettuccini here is also amazing! This intimate restaurant is set on a boardwalk overlooking the bay, and the view is to die for.

While fishing the Anchor River for the day I asked one of the locals where to find a good local seafood restaurant. He recommended Captain Paddies on the spit in Homer. My two companions & I tried it for dinner that evening. We all had the fried halibut dinner & all agreed that it was the best fried fish we... More

My hubby and I ate here since a lot of places had closed for the season. The food was really good and the service was great. Nice table by the window looking out at the water.

Captain Patties is a fish house with an Alaskan attitude. This cozy place on the Homer spit is the result of consolidating and merging several small shops into one. The cooking is done on the 2nd floor and sent downstairs by dumb waiter. Nothing else about the place is dumb. The walls are covered with fish of every medium and... More

Captain Patties is well known and is very popular. It is advisable to get there early to have a table ready for you. Although they specialize in seafood, they have other options available. Attentive service and well prepared food.

We stayed at a B&B and were told to visit Captain Pattie's located on the spit for some great food. The fish was fresh and tasty. Patty visited with our table and is very hospitable. Great view from the dining area. Beer options were local.

I had read about this restaurant before we went to Homer this summer and we wanted to try it. The food was excellent, the service was great, we had a lovely view of the beach. We got there just ahead of the dinner crowd so we didn't have a long wait. You can get good fish & chips lots of... More

The halibut was fresh and very tasty. The seasoning was not overdone. We were lucky to get into the restaurant without reservations. We noticed many folks being turned away for a much later time to come back. The food was excellent! Defiantly worth a visit if you are in Homer.
